Four years, Holly. FOUR. Somehow it feels like we blinked… and you just casually became part of the heartbeat of Blush. Time in the salon has a funny way of flying, but your impact here feels huge- like you’ve been woven into this place forever.

You bring joy and laughter into Blush every single day- the kind that echoes across the room and pulls everyone in. You give 110% to every guest in your chair, making them feel seen, heard, and completely adored. People don’t just leave with great hair- they leave feeling uplifted, deeply cared for, and genuinely loved in that way only you can deliver. It’s your superpower, and we all get to witness it daily.

Your effervescent personality and the way you fiercely care for your people is something special. And the best part? They love you just as hard right back. You’ve built loyalty with loyalty- real, heartfelt connection, and it shows in everything you do.

And let’s be honest… Blush doesn’t really follow winter, spring, summer, or fall anymore. We operate on dahlia season- bold, colorful, impossible to ignore, and just a little extra. Basically, you in flower form. It’s our favorite season because it feels like you!

And we would be doing a disservice not to acknowledge that Buster Lu remains the salon’s favorite honorary nephew. We adore him… even if we are collectively jealous of his elite cozy blanket collection and the luxurious lifestyle he is clearly living.

Four years of love, laughter and unmistakable Holly energy-and this place is better because of you. We’re lucky to work alongside you, lucky to laugh with you, and lucky to call you ours. Happy Blushiversay- we love you BIG!

Lauren, you are the glue that keeps this place together. You are the keeper of all the things- schedules, supplies, invoices, guest communications, solutions, and the secret internal systems that only YOU truly understand (I ran a poll on this, and the girls all agreed). You are the keeper of the calendar, and without you, the days would absolutely fold in on themselves and the weeks would dissolve into pure Blush chaos.

You show up- fully, consistently, and without ever making a fuss. You are the other half of our brains, anticipating what needs to happen long before anyone says it out loud, and making the complicated feel simple and the overwhelming feel manageable.

Our guests feel it too. They love and appreciate you for your warmth, your patience, your professionalism- and your laughter and smile, which somehow make even the busiest days feel lighter and more human. You make everyone feel held, informed, and genuinely cared for from the moment they walk in.

Let’s not forget that you are also perpetually cold (this is simply a fact). And your secrets about the space heater under the desk and your devotion to black and white ink are safe with us. Some loyalties run deep…😉

One continuous year in the blink of an eye. And somehow three years of knowing you and loving you have already stacked themselves up quietly behind us.
What a beautiful year it has been for you.

Not only do you give your guests gorgeous, intentional hair-styled with care and precision- you also wrap them in comfort. They feel relaxed, tended to, and somehow part of both a ritual and a story. They would absolutely follow you into whatever far-off fantasy universe you’re currently reading about… as long as there’s coffee, of course, and maybe a knitted sweater for the journey.

You are steadfast and reliable in a way that grounds us all. You show up- on time, prepared, and fully present- and it is such an underrated gift in this industry. Your coffee is always warm, your yarn stash is forever expanding, and your pages are always turning. You pour the same attentiveness into guests as you do into your knitting projects and your cooking, and your guests adore listening to you sing as you personalize each finish- like each style has its own little soundtrack.

And then there’s the towel wrap- your meticulous little party trick- studied closely, attempted frequently, and yet never successfully duplicated. We’ve all agreed it should be taught at the academy level.

Three continuous years. Crazy. Just a small blip in time (his name is Arlo), and somehow five years of knowing you and loving you have already come and gone.

What an amazing year it has been for you.

Not only do you give your clients beautiful, curated hair—you make them feel safe, seen, and fully entertained. They would absolutely travel to the ends of the earth for you… over many mountains, probably involving multiple ferries, at the very least.

You mentor our newest baby Blush, you quietly look out for everyone like the best big sister, and we can always count on you—for cleaning the Dyson filters, yes, but also for your honesty and your humor: observational, relatable, and always perfectly timed.
