I’ve gone back and forth about whether to say anything at all.

Part of me wants to say nothing because some things are too personal to put on the internet.

But the truth is, this has hurt and taught me so much!

Amanda is no longer a part of Southern Roots as most know already from her announcement. I chose to stay silent as I wasn’t sure what to say or think.

And this isn’t just a business separation for me. She was my friend. She was someone I trusted. Someone I considered family. Someone I thought would be standing beside me as we continued building together.

So when things ended the way they did, it left me with a lot of hurt, anger, confusion and disappointment that I’m still working through.

I’m not going to get on here and tell any sides or any details. There are things that are private, and I’m going to keep them that way.

But I also refuse to pretend this didn’t affect me or the business.

It did.

There are days I’m angry. Days I’m sad. Days I question everything. And honestly, there have been moments where I’ve wanted to throw my hands up and walk away from all of it.

Because when someone you thought was loyal, was family walks away, it doesn’t just change the business.

It changes you.

But Southern Roots is so much bigger than one person.

And as hard as this season has been, I’m still here.

Still showing up.
Still working.
Still dreaming.
Still building.

Maybe not exactly the way I thought I would be.

But I’m learning that sometimes the things you thought were permanent aren’t and that doesn’t mean what you built wasn’t real.

I’m choosing not to turn this into hate.

I’m choosing to grieve what was, accept what is, and keep moving forward.

And if I’m being completely honest, I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet.

But I know it’ll be beautiful 💜

I want Southern Roots to be a place filled with people who show up for each other. People who work hard. People who communicate. People who celebrate each other’s wins. People who want to grow. Together!

I want peace here.

I want purpose here.

I want great energy here.

And I’m going to continue to build that and accept that isn’t for everyone.

Maybe this chapter broke my heart a little.

But it also reminded me how much this place means to me.

So I’m staying.

I’m rebuilding.

And I’m staying rooted. 🌿💜
