Hey Friends!! Once again we have some exciting news. Autumn has been a part of R'Meraki Hair Salon family for a while but now its official. We hope you'll come check her out and as always wish Autumn a successful, prosperous journey at R'Meraki.

Hi! My name is Autumn, I recently graduated Cosmetology school! I have lived in Dansville Ny, my whole life, most of my family and friends are here and I just love the community. When i decided to go back to school I took the full Cosmetology Coarse but want to focus on becoming the best nail tech I can be. Excited to announce that I will be doing nails and or feet on Mondays at R'Meraki Hair Salon. Growing up I always loved getting ready with my friends doing each others hair and makeup, just making each other feel pretty. I want to bring that feeling to everyone. I fell in love with doing nails during my schooling and seeing the confidence people feel after is such a great feeling. Trying new nail art is always exciting and one of my favorite things to do. I love a challenge. My boyfriend and I currently have an apartment in Dansville, were we enjoy hanging out with family and friends. Many of you might know me from KS Canine. It's where I spend most of my time during the week, with everyone’s fur babies. Fun fact....I also love to go antiquing on the weekends. I am taking clients on Mondays with more availability opening in the future! At the moment I have mostly mornings and afternoon appointments available. Thank you for taking time to read a little about me and I really hope to see you in my chair.

R'Meraki has quietly been going through a lot the last couple months. Trying to be there for three of our stylist, our girls who are going through the same kinds of heartbreak, noone wants to face. Watching people you love be so broken loosing their closest people💔. Please pray. And thank you for giving us a little grace and kindness. We know with our girls being in and out of the salon being home where they need to be, we have not been able to fit everyone in or answer every call. We are trying to our best. Love and appreciate all of you so much. Thank you 💗

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news of longtime member and dear friend Mike Derrenbacher 's passing. Mike spent countless hours managing our s***t shooting program as well as serving as a member of our board of directors.. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday September 8 from 2 to 5pm at the Dansville Fish and Game Club. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Interment will be in Ossian Cemetery, Ossian. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.

Mike will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Cynthia Ann Hunter, 76, a resident of County Route 46 in Dansville, passed away Thursday (July 30, 2026) at Teresa House in Geneseo.
Born in Williamsport, PA., May 1, 1950, she was the daughter of Robert and Sherry Peard Harer. Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother and family member. She loved to cook and share stories of family times together. She and her husband were a perfect match sharing many if the same interests including Eastern Star and boy scouts. She embraced being a member of the Hunter Clan attending clan events in Scotland and Canada
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Melville Hunter.
She is survived by her daughter Crystal (Josh) Secor of Dansville, her sisters, Crystal (Larry) Lowe of Florida, and Elizabeth (Daniel) Folk of PA., her brother John Harer and 2 grandchildren, Feonna Secor and Gauge Secor.
There will be no calling hours. Burial services will be held at Mt. Morris Cemetery, August 15th, 2026 at 6:45p.m.
The family is being assisted by Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
