My lip balm is intentionally made on the softer side, focusing on absorbency as much as providing a protective barrier along with some fun essential oil combinations. The downside to a softer balm is mailing it during the warmer months. I keep an eye on the local weather and highly suggest buying during non-summer months. If they do soften up during transport, pop it in the freezer for a few moments, it firms up pretty quickly and the quality isn't impacted.

Random thought today. I truly miss selling my beeswax candles and wax melts. My original LuluBee business concept was beeswax candles, that was it. They changed my life. A scent sensitive person with allergies, asthma, and headaches being able to use candles again safely. I added other products as time went on sticking with natural aromatherapy products but my heart still has all of the love for these special items. I stockpiled the “less than perfect” and the recipe tester candles so I still experience them personally daily but I didnt want to charge luxury prices for my items because they are very expensive to make so I discontinued. This is an example of how a small business owner sacrifices something she believes in because the cost to create something special is simply more than what you want to charge to stay in line with the affordability I strive for. Makes me a bit sad.

It's back..... My Citronella Citrus Diffuser Blend is made from 100% essential oils and created specifically for outdoor use to keep pests at bay. If you do not have an outdoor diffuser here are a few other ways to effectively use this blend:

1. Make an outdoor spray using 4-6oz spray bottle, distilled water, 1-2 tablespoons of Witch Hazel and 20-30 drops of Citronella Citrus Diffuser Blend. Spray around the outdoor area as needed.
Note: If you don't have distilled water, tap water will work. If you don't have Witch Hazel, make sure to shake bottle right before each use to disperse oils into water.

2. Add a few drops of oil to a cotton ball and place in an open container (away from children and pets).

Fun fact. I made my own outdoor incense with this blend with the intention of selling it. It's a bit too strongly scented for me to mail to customers so I'm sharing the process.
1.Buy unscented incense sticks (aka joss and bamboo punk sticks) 2.Add 15-20 drops of the diffuser blend to each incense stick, let dry for a few days and use outdoors.

Any of my Diffuser Blends can be turned into incense, just be aware if using indoors, it's very strongly scented and can impact others including pets.

It’s been a few days since my first outdoor event and here are my takeaways:
1. Having only two in person events under my belt, my favorite thing to do by far is engage with the folks stopping at my booth. As a scent sensitive person selling scented items, it’s important for people like myself to know they don’t have to eliminate all things scented from their world.
2. My aromatherapy inhalers are a big hit in person when I explain how they are used and how inexpensive they are and last for months. Think personal diffuser.
3. The photo below was at the beginning of the day, before the cold and rain just chilled me to the bone and it was impossible to stay warm, even under the tent. Spending 9+hours in those conditions was not enjoyable at all. Noted.
4. The event itself was well organized, volunteers were courteous and helpful, and the park was beautiful (minus the weather).
5. I’m not sure if I would attend another outdoor event, my products and I are both meant to exist in temperature controlled conditions (lol), but I’m glad I got the opportunity to try something new. I’m hoping to do one more event indoors in the fall or for the holidays like I did last year.
To my friends and family who swung by, thanks for supporting, it meant the world. To those who couldn't make it, I don’t blame you, it was miserable out.
