There are no permanent side effects from the treatment of electrolysis. Sometimes, a slight reddening of the skin may occur during or immediately after a treatment, but this will only be short lived. Electrolysis is a very safe method of hair removal.
The average electrolysis machine contains over 500 different working programs per body part! This means that your electrolysis can be customized to your specific body as well as your expectations and goals for the treatment.
It is strongly advised not to wax or tweeze unwanted hair in-between electrolysis treatments as these methods are prone to encouraging hair growth rather than eliminating it. This is counter productive to the electrolysis process that eradicates unwanted hair growth once and for all.
The original process for electrolysis hair removal is called the galvanic method and was discovered in 1875. While this method was highly effective for permanent hair removal, it was a very slow process.
