Dermaplaning isn’t for everyone, but did you know it’s great for men’s skin? Dermaplaning is an advanced form of exfoliation so a healthy barrier is required, but men’s skin has several differences that make advanced treatments more doable:
▫️ male skin has a thicker stratum corneum (top layer)
▫️ higher production of lactic acid (naturally more hydrated)
▫️ higher production of sebum (oil, larger pores)
▫️ denser collagen (slower aging)

Easy skin imperfection treatments ✨
I finally got around to treating this pesky milia under my eye with our Skin Classic machine. I love this device because it treats so many cosmetic imperfections that you would otherwise have to treat at the dermatologist with liquid nitrogen. We offer this laser alternative to treat common skin complaints in our serene space 😌
What we can treat:
• Skin tags
• Milia
• Cherry angioma
• Flat sun spots
• Sebaceous hyperplasia (my FAVORITE- they are donut shaped bumps common in oily skin)
• Dermatosis papulosa nigra (small, raised dark lesions common in darker skin tones)
• Cystic acne & more!
There are some contraindications. Most common are pregnancy, pacemaker, melasma, and anyone who cannot be treated with electrical equipment.

We got together for a Moonstone staff dinner last Wednesday in Salem! We went to Bella Verona for delicious northern Italian dishes & wine, and ended up at All Souls Lounge for some nightcaps. 🍸
