We’re excited to shine the spotlight on one of our wonderful stylists who has been part of the River City Salon family for over two years! Meet Destine!

At just 22 years old, she graduated cosmetology school shortly after high school and has continued growing into an incredibly talented stylist. She has a real eye for creating beautiful color transformations and loves crafting blended, dimensional looks that grow out beautifully and complement each guest’s unique style. Whether it’s subtle ribbons of brightness, rich depth and dimension, or a complete color makeover, she enjoys helping her clients achieve hair that feels both beautiful and effortless. She also delivers fantastic men’s cuts and is wonderful with kids, making every guest feel comfortable in her chair.

While she may not claim it as her favorite service, around here she’s earned the nickname “The Perm Queen!” 👑 From classic perms to modern texture, she’s become one of our go-to girls for creating gorgeous results.

What truly makes her special, though, is her sweet and kind nature. She always wears a smile and brings a positive energy that both our team and clients adore.

When she’s not in the salon, you’ll usually find her spending time with her large family and her many nieces and nephews, who keep her busy and smiling. She also loves making memories with her fella and his family, who mean the world to her.

We are so excited to officially introduce Gracie, our esthetician here at River City Salon!

At just 20 years old, Gracie is already making a wonderful impact on both our team and her clients. She graduated from Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill in April 2025, but her passion for the beauty industry began long before that. What started as a love for makeup at a young age quickly grew into a passion for skincare and helping others feel confident in their own skin.

Gracie’s favorite part of being an esthetician is focusing on the health of the skin while helping clients feel their absolute best. She believes skincare should be both effective and relaxing, and she strives to create a comfortable experience where every client feels cared for, heard, and refreshed.

When she’s not in the treatment room, you’ll likely find her spending time with family and friends, serving tables at her second job, or hanging out with her cat, Munchie.
