I’m opening my treatment room back up. 🤍

The last several months required me to step away from taking regular appointments and focus on things at home. I’ve still seen a handful of my longtime waxing clients, but I haven’t been nearly as present at Salon R5 as I normally am.

Things are settling down, and I’m ready to get back to something I truly enjoy which is taking care of my clients.

I’ll be opening up more availability again for Korean facials, lash lift+ tint, and full body waxing, starting this week. If you’ve been putting off your facial or realized it’s been way too long since your last wax…this is your sign. 😂

I’d love to welcome back familiar faces and meet some new ones too.❤️

25 years later, we remember.

We honor the lives lost, the first responders and service members who answered the call, the families forever changed, and all those who continue to carry the weight of September 11, 2001.

May we never forget their lives, their courage, and their sacrifice. 🇺🇸

Today, our hearts are with the thousands of families affected by the closure of the Tyson plant in Joslin.

For my family, this news is deeply personal.

My parents began their American journey working at the plant when it was IBP after immigrating to the United States from Vietnam as refugees. Those long shifts and hard earned paychecks became the foundation my family was built on. My in-laws have also dedicated nearly three decades of their lives to that same plant.

This isn't just a plant to us. It's a part of our family's story. It's where dreams began, sacrifices were made, and futures were built.

That's why today's news isn't just another headline. Behind every announcement are thousands of families wondering what tomorrow will look like. Many of them are our clients, friends, neighbors, and members of this community we love.

At Salon R5, we're heartbroken alongside every family facing uncertainty today. The Quad Cities has always been a place where people show up for one another in difficult times, and I have no doubt that spirit will shine through again.
