Finding the Beauty in Every Day
The thing I love most about what I do is bringing out that spark in a person who needs a change, upliftment, or just a quiet time to relax. There is beauty in every day, in every living thing, and in every imperfection...if we would only open our eyes, minds, and hearts. I love connecting with my clients, so much so, that I often think of them as extended family. Hair styling is more than cuts and color. It’s about listening to your guests after they had a long rough week of work. It’s about giving them a safe place to open up. It’s about laughing hard, acting silly, and maybe even crying together. Even though I work in a “superficial” industry, I make a great effort to keep it real. Technical skills are very important to have in this business, however, even more important is the ability to listen! That means if my guest tells me “only 1/4 of an inch,” I’m taking that 1/4 of an inch...nothing more, nothing less. If my guest tells me she has had a headache for the past two days --BAM-- shes getting a wonderful scalp massage by Yours Truly. Catch my drift? So if you are in need of a stylist who not only has talent, but will listen to you, I’m only a phone call away.
