Vikki's creation from 2009:
A formal style for homecoming in White County.
Vikki still loves being creative and doing formal styles when they pop up in her chair.
Today's price for a formal style at North Georgia Hair Cutters is $80 , and $40 dollars for girls up to 5th grade.

Did you know? North Georgia Hair Cutters hosted and cut 48 to 100 FROGS from UNG twice a year from August 2008 till January 2020. We did not have a facebook account in August of 2008 or January of 2009.
This is us cutting the frogs in August of 2009. We had fun, and we enjoyed meeting all the cadets, and having them coming back to us over and over throughout their career at UNG. Some even continued to come to us after they commissioned. Some would drop by if they were in town just to say hi, and get a haircut.
It all started with one group of FROGS in August of 2008 needing a place to get their haircut. There was eight or ten of them in their group. I was out in the parking lot and I saw them across the street
looking dishevelled in the heat. I asked them if there was anything we could do for them, and their leader, explain to me the barber shop they were going to, in years past had closed. I told them that we could accommodate them and cut their hair. He radioed his superior and that superior okayed it and asked if we could do more, than just that group. We ended up doing approximately 50 FROGS that day.
That was the beginning of many years of servicing the FROGS with giving them they're freshmen orientation haircut for $10 a Cadet!
Our last group of FROGS, was the entire freshman cadet class for the spring semester of 2020.
Why did we stop cutting the FROGS?
Two events happen March of 2020.
1st was COVID, the cadets for fall of 2020 through around 2022, were instructed to report with a haircut and that their experience getting a haircut together would not be a part of their orientation. Second reason, our shop moved to it's current location on Burnt Stand Road.
We still service Cadets from UNG. Their haircut is still the original price outside of the orientation of $9. Yep! That has been their haircut price since March of 2008!
Our military since 2008 also has not had a price change. Active military and retired Rangers, haircuts are $9.
*Another fun fact! Remember the shop I mentioned above that had closed?
Robert, our barber pictured in that last picture had worked at that salon his whole career until it closed, then came to work for North Georgia Hair Cutters. Robert cut the FROGS for over 40 years between the other shop and ours.
Robert worked for us from late 2008 until his death in 2016.
