Did you know that when the seasons change, so does your skin? Let’s deep dive into winter skincare with 5 surface skincare tips to maintain glowing and hydrated skin throughout the winter!

1)Rotating your cleansing routine!
Using a cream based hydrating cleanser for the fall and winter months will help reduce excess oil production and reset your moisture barrier with a clean surface.

2)Exfoliate 1-3 times per week!
Exfoliating more often will keep the dry flaky build up of dead skin that the winter brings in check! This promotes healthy skin cell turn over and better product absorption.

3) Hydrate your skin from inside - out!
Not only is it important to hydrate your skin with topical products; you should be ingesting plenty water and water rich foods such as watermelon, celery, and cucumbers. When applying topical products they should be layered based on their consistency. For example; astringent, serum/oils, moisturizer, THEN SPF! The winter may require you use a heavier moisturizer rich in amino acids where as in the summer you’d probably prefer a light weight moisturizer with an Aloe Vera gel base.

4) Add antioxidants and serums to your skincare routine!
Antioxidant rich serums and creams like vitamin c oil or niacinamides added to your morning skincare routine can keep a healthy glow to your skin while simultaneously strengthening your skin barrier and protecting it from free radicals!

5) USE SPF‼️
Sun damage can happen year round! So continued use of your SPF is needed to protect your skin from harmful UV rays from the sun. Preventing some cancers and age spots.
