Another day in the life being a black person in America.
Another day in the life fighting twice as hard to get the same results of the majority. Another day in the life of fighting the temptation that to make it as a black person you have to learn to dribble or throw a ball, or be an artist and make your own music. Another day in the life of being unapologetically beautiful, melanin ALWAYS shining, and haters ALWAYS hating!
We have the God given privilege to wake up in the life and be the chocolate drop that everybody wants to be year round, but this month…we celebrate even harder. This month we give it all we got to continue to say IM BLACK, BLACKITY BLACK AND PROUD. But this feeling of celebrating even harder should go on all year long. So after these small 28 days are over, continue to walk around with your head held high, and know that nothing can stop you from shining bright in this dark world.
