So, if you cancel your appointment and say, "I need to reschedule," that does not automatically place you back on my schedule.
If you do not tell me the date and time you would like to reschedule, I cannot put you on the schedule, and you may lose your regular appointment spot.
I recently had a misunderstanding where I thought a client was planning to return for their regular appointment in two weeks, while the client thought they had only requested to reschedule at some point in the future.
To avoid any confusion, please let me know the date and time you would like to come in when requesting to reschedule.

Can I be honest for a minute?

When you make an appointment and don't show up, it doesn't just leave an empty chair. Many of us rearrange our schedules, come into the salon on our days off, turn on the lights, prepare our stations, and reserve that time specifically for you.

I've had clients make multiple appointments, promise they'll be there, and then never show. After a while, it becomes frustrating because that time could have been given to another client who needed an appointment.

Life happens. Emergencies happen. I completely understand that. All I ask is that if you can't make it, please send a quick text or call to let me know.

I'm beginning to understand why so many stylists require deposits. It's not about being mean—it's about respecting everyone's time.

Just because a head wrap LOOKS silky doesn’t mean it’s protecting your hair.

A lot of wraps and bonnets sold in beauty supply stores are made from polyester blends that can dry the hair out, create friction, cause static, and contribute to breakage — especially around the edges and crown area over time.

For textured hair, moisture retention matters. The wrong fabric can slowly pull moisture from the hair and leave it brittle without you realizing it.

If your hair has been feeling dry no matter what products you use, your bonnet, scarf, or wrap could be part of the problem.
