Over the last few weeks we have reached out to our clients and supporters and we wanted to make sure we fully announced our end of the year break. We will be taking an end of the year break. People who want to be notified about the return of our services before our public announcement, can join our waitlist at our website www.puffapothecary.com

We have a few major news & updates to announce. First, I want to announce that Asha Parson has decided to move on to a new opportunity. Asha will be missed and I am so thankful for her work and to have shared this last year and a half with her. I want to also extend my appreciation for the time and work that apprentices, Kia and Mari, have spent at Puff.

I have spent the last year working closely with adoption and foster agencies on workshops to educate families and children about nurturing natural hair and it has been such fulfilling work. Connecting with clients at our community events and learning about their needs. I've learned so much about what our community needs in terms of services and education.

With these updates and knowledge gained, we’ll be taking a hiatus till the end of the year to refocus and strategize some of the focus of Puff Apothecary. I encourage anyone who is interested in joining the Puff team to reach out to me. We always welcome conversation and connection, so please do not hesitate to reach me at [email protected]. I love conversing with our supporters, fellow small business owners and partners!

Thank you so much for your continued support over the years. We have always been dedicated to serving the Black community and creating space in downtown Dayton for products and services that are from us, for us and we look forward to continuing our mission of making people feel good inside and out.

Meet Jasmine Adkins, our Marketing Intern! If you have been following Puff throughout the years you may recognize Jasmine as our first intern when we were a only a boutique on S. Saint Clair St. We are thrilled that she is back and we’re excited to bring her expertise in visual communications to Puff! Read more about her below:

Jasmine Adkins is a senior at Bowling Green State University. She is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication Technology. Jasmine is enthusiastic; to expand her knowledge in the field of marketing and combine her love of natural hair with her skills in photography, videography, web design, and article writing. She is also excited to get some natural hairstyle inspiration of her own from all of the cute hairstyles she sees at the salon. After graduation, Jasmine plans to pursue a career in the field of Public Relations with hopes of opening a Public Relations Firm of her own in the future.

We’re ready to knock out kids day at Puff this Saturday! Swipe to see some natural styles our kidos love.

Come out to Puff Kids Day!! This Saturday, June 18th from 10 am - 3 pm during Out on 5th when the Oregon District street is closed to pedestrians. This kid sized event will include a family friendly bookseller, a fruit vendor and with their informational and swag table right in front of our salon! Our whole team will be there to meet and greet and happy to discuss all things hair. Hope to see you there! 🌟

Consultations are open this weekend! We are opening more consultations as our capacity has expanded.
