HIGH WATER ALERT! Several roads are currently closed due to excessive water levels. Affected areas include Little York Rd between Frederick Pk and Stoner Rd, Meeker Rd between Heathcliff Rd and Westfall Rd, and the intersection of Frederick Pike and Peter’s Road. Additional areas are also experiencing high water. Please exercise caution and avoid driving through flooded areas or around barricades. Emergency responders are actively engaged in multiple locations working to maintain community safety.

Due to worsening winter weather and increasingly hazardous road conditions, Montgomery County has been placed under a Level 3 Snow Emergency following coordination and discussions with county officials and local jurisdictions.

This decision is made to reduce risk to both the public and first responders during extremely dangerous conditions. Under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, travel is prohibited unless absolutely necessary, and violations may result in a citation or arrest. Residents are strongly urged to remain off the roadways until conditions improve.

Please reserve 911 for emergencies only, specifically situations involving immediate danger to life or serious injury. Keeping emergency lines open ensures responders can assist those in critical need without delay. Road crews and public safety officials are continuously monitoring conditions across the county and will provide updates as soon as any changes to the snow emergency level are made.

We appreciate the community’s patience, cooperation, and understanding as safety remains the top priority during this severe winter weather event. Starting June 30th, you will find me at Wavelengths in Vandalia! I’m so grateful for this next chapter and all the love and support that’s brought me here🥂

There will be a few changes to my availability to hopefully make things easier for everyone — I’ll now be taking clients on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays🩵

On May 28th, Andrea was involved in a serious horseback riding accident while on vacation in Costa Rica. She suffered a ruptured spleen and required an emergency splenectomy. The experience was frightening for Andrea and everyone who cares about her. She is still in the hospital in Costa Rica recovering.

Andrea is a dedicated hair stylist, who loves helping her clients feel their best. Because of her injuries, she will need to miss work for an extended period while she recovers. She is also a single mom. Unfortunately, Andrea’s health insurance does not cover international medical care, leaving her with significant hospital bills and recovery expenses. The costs of her surgery, hospital stay, ongoing treatment, and lost income are adding up quickly. Andrea is a caring person who has always been there for her friends, and now she needs our support more than ever.

We’re raising funds to help Andrea cover her medical bills, recovery costs, and lost wages so she can focus on getting better without the added stress of financial worries. Any contribution will make a difference and bring Andrea one step closer to a full recovery. Thank you for supporting her during this challenging time.
