My dear clients and friends: I am now fully recovered from having stage 2 breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy on August 28th and reconstructive surgery on November 24th. I have been so fortunate to not have to undergo chemo or radiation. I will only be taking an aromatase inhibitor for 5-10 years. I’m doing well and am super blessed.
These challenges make you assess what you want to squeeze in to what time you have left, because none of us are guaranteed any more than very the moment we’re in.
So, after 36 years at Michael’s, and 40 yrs doing hair, I’ve decided to retire. I “grew up” at Michael’s with so many great little hairdressers and met so many others along the way. People that have been very special and like family to me.
I have met a handful of clients that are now my forever friends too. I enjoyed my craft and will miss you all.
I have never said what was going on with my health on social media, but I know you all care and I didn’t want you to worry anymore. Also, it’s my only way to be able to thank you because we don’t have access to our client’s information. Although I won’t be doing hair anymore, please send a message so that we can stay in touch if you’d like.

This woman is beautiful inside and out. ❤️ She drove from out of state for grey blending color transformation. After consulting with her we decided that going too gray was too much, too soon. But her “natural” dark color was beginning to look stark and harsh. So, highlights and toning was all it took. Look at the before picture she sent to me. I think she looks so much younger!
