As I continue to get calls, texts, and DMs, I would like to reiterate that I am unavailable at this time and I do not currently have a return date.
I appreciate you all’s support, however my focus and priority is not on clients and the salon at this time. It’s on healthily welcoming my baby boy into this world, healing, and navigating the early stages of motherhood.
Thank you for your understanding and support. I will return to service you all in due season.

Kryspy Locs is officially closed until further notice. I am on maternity leave as I prepare to welcome my baby boy into the world.
During this time, I’ll be fully focused on healing, bonding with my baby, and learning the ropes of motherhood. So calls, texts, and DMs will not be answered while I’m away.
Thank you for respecting this special time for me and my family. The salon chair will be waiting when I return (TBD), but for now, my newest client has 24/7 priority and doesn’t believe in appointments. Lol

This is the result of choosing refinement over comparison.
Is your back row your problem area?
This could be why:
1. Inconsistent maintenance. Consider your starter locs as babies and in training. If they aren’t being trained properly to become locs, they run wild and do whatever they want to do.
2. This is a prime area for sweat and moisture. When you mix moisture with hair that is trying to loc, slippage and unraveling is bound to happen.
3. The nape of the neck is prone to friction.
Shirts, collars, scarves, bonnets, backs of car seats, gym benches, shower caps, etc. Constant rubbing + moisture = unraveling.
4. Hormone changes can alter the nape of the neck. You may see more moisture as stated above, softer or temporarily altered texture, or increased shredding.
Please don’t think that your hair just doesn’t loc because that’s not true. If you consult with your loctician (or doctor if necessary) and address these issues, you should see your locs flourishing in no time.

FYI: Intense loc care doesn’t always require crochet maintenance. You just need to find a professional, pain-free loctician such as myself that has the knowledge and technique to restore your locs to health.
This client only needed 3 locs repaired. Other than that, he just got a retwist (shampoo always included) and an advanced style (ropes /3-strand twists). I did what I do best, and now he’s back in the game.
If your locs need some tlc before the holiday, let this be your sign to get in my chair before Monday, November 25th.
