Happy Sunday everyone!! I gave my girl Mulan back her locks the other day just in time for the holidays! We started doing extensions on her to grow her hair out. (Yes if done properly your hair will GROW, not get damaged). Once we reached our goal and the extensions were the same length, she decided to get longer ones! She loves having all the hair and isn’t it gorgeous! 😍

I had an appointment come available for Wednesday. If anyone needs a color/cut this week!

I never know what I’m going to do when this client walks in and she normally doesn’t either! She lives being different and any shade of red! We kept her copper/brown base as is, refreshed her highlights, and added some copper low lights for a nicer pop for fall! I love that this is all the colors of the leaves. 🍁🍁🍁Fall is just around the corner, and in so excited for our first Halloween with our daughter, fall crafts, and family get togethers! 🎃

I did so much fall hair this week & I am here for it! I love all these low lights on my beautiful MIL’s hair. We wanted to add some red/brown for dimension and make the blonde pieces she had a little thicker! Here’s a little glimpse of how lighting is so different in photos. The warmth always shows up more in natural light than back in the salon at my station.

This isn’t my typical post but I wanted to share this! This card is so special to me. My original color card for my mother.

Every time I pass this is my records it makes me smile. This woman was my biggest supporter, my personal mannequin, and most loyal client. She is the reason I am the woman & stylist I am today.

I will forever cherish this and keep it in my files.

Sometimes it’s time to go back to the DARK SIDE 😍. These few cool mornings have had me totally ready for the fall this year. I’m ready for fall hair, pumpkin carving, sweatshirts, scary movies, Halloween, leggings, and fall leaves! What is your favorite thing about fall!? 🍁👻🎃

CURLING TIPS! ⬇️🤩
Did you know curling the hair makes dimension show more?
✨Spray with Redken Hot sets on dry hair. 4-5 sprays while moving around the head, staying about a foot away. Don’t forget the ends!
✨Brush out and take 1-2” vertical sections starting at the face.
✨Curl the hair away from the face on both sides until you meet in the back middle of the head.
✨Using Amika Thicc as a texturizing paste I rub a TINY amount in my hands and run my fingers through the clients hair. This breaks the curl up without brushing.
✨Finish with your favorite Amika hairspray or texture spray!

As always I’m using my 1” Hot Tools Marcel curling iron.

GROWTH & SPLIT END tips! ⬇️
I had a client today wanting to grow her hair but struggling with split ends & breakage. She asked for my help and I gave her my favorite tips for the freshest,longest hair.
✨Regular Trims
✨HEAT PROTECTANT
✨Weekly treatments/deep conditions
✨Less heat in general
✨Add a hair vitamin with Biotin to your day.
✨Be gentle brushing & taking ponytails out.

(I just started Mary Ruth’s organic hair vitamin for my postpartum journey and it taste great!)

With a FULL head of highs & lows we touched up the regrowth, and corrected the multiple colors in the hair. Thankfully this first session only took 2 and 1/2 hours!
