Another effective way to help remove lint from your locs is by using a lint roller.
Gently roll it over the surface of the loc to pick up loose fuzz, lint, and debris. This works best for lint that’s sitting on the outside and hasn’t worked its way deep into the loc yet.

Just be gentle and patient and remember, not all lint can be fully removed at home without causing damage. Prevention is always key: wrap your hair at night and keep your locs away from fuzzy fabrics when possible.

In 2019, I opened my salon right before the world changed.

Not long after opening our doors, COVID hit, and like many businesses, we were forced to pause for a few months. It was an uncertain time, and if I’m being honest, I did not have all the answers. But what I did have was faith, resilience, and the determination to keep going.

I have always been a hustler, and giving up was never an option.

Through every challenge, every setback, and every moment of uncertainty, we continued to push forward. Along the way, I was blessed to build a team of individuals who are just as passionate about hair as I am, and together we turned uncertainty into growth.

Now here we are in 2026, grateful to say that the love and support we receive has brought us to a place where our chairs stay filled and our calendars stay busy. At times, we can barely keep up and truly, that is a blessing. It is the kind of problem every growing business prays for.
