❤️ Let Me Reintroduce Myself… and the Heart Behind Ripple Effect. 💧

I’ve been thinking lately that while many of you know me through fitness and wellness, you may not know the story behind WHY I do what I do.

And honestly, my WHY started long before I ever became a personal trainer.

At just 27 years old, I lost both of my parents within six months of each other. 💔

Even writing those words brings back so many emotions.

At an age when I thought I had so much more time with them, life taught me one of its hardest lessons…

Tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Losing them changed me forever. It changed the way I looked at life, my future, and most importantly, my health.

I learned that there are so many things in life we simply cannot control. But I also realized there ARE things we can do to give ourselves the best opportunity to live a long, healthy, fulfilling life.

And for me, taking care of my health became one of those things.

Not because I was afraid of aging.

But because I wanted to LIVE.

To be present. To be strong. To have energy. To make memories. To experience all the beautiful moments life has to offer.

In 2013, I became a Certified Personal Trainer because I wanted to help others discover that same feeling.

And that’s where RIPPLE EFFECT comes in. 💧

When I chose that name, I believed something so strongly…

When you make YOUR health a priority, the positive effects don’t stop with you.

They ripple into your family, your relationships, your confidence, your happiness, and the way you show up for the people you love.

One healthy choice can lead to another. One person making a change can inspire someone else.

And those little ripples can become something so much bigger.

Now, at 48, I’m experiencing another chapter of my own health journey. My body is changing, I’m learning new things, and I’m realizing that what worked for me at 35 doesn’t necessarily work the same way today.

And I’m okay admitting that I don’t have it all figured out.

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still finding ways to feel my best.

But one thing has NEVER changed…

My desire to help others live healthier, stronger, and hopefully longer lives.

I often wonder what life would look like today if my parents were still here. What memories we could have made. What moments they would have shared with my family.

And maybe that’s why this mission means so much to me.

Because I know firsthand how precious TIME is. ❤️

I can’t change the number of years I had with my parents, but I can choose how I care for myself and hopefully inspire others to make the most of the years they have.

And THAT is the heart behind Ripple Effect.

So when I say YOUR HEALTH IS YOUR WEALTH, I truly mean it.

It’s not about having the perfect body.

It’s not about a number on the scale.

It’s about doing what we can TODAY to give ourselves more healthy tomorrows.

If my story, my journey, or something I share encourages even ONE person to start prioritizing themselves, then Ripple Effect is doing exactly what I hoped it would.

💧 One choice. One change. One ripple at a time.

❤️ I’d love to ask you something…

If you could give yourself one gift for your future, what would it be? More energy? More strength? More confidence? Or simply more healthy years with the people you love?

I’d love to hear your thoughts. ❤️

✨ LONGEVITY. ✨

It’s a word we’re hearing everywhere lately…but longevity isn’t just about living longer.

It’s about living BETTER for longer. ❤️

For me, the goal isn’t simply adding years to my life. It’s making sure there’s as much LIFE in those years as possible.

I want to be strong.
I want to have energy.
I want to move without limitations.
I want to travel, play, lift, laugh and keep doing the things I love.
And I want to feel confident and capable in my body as I age.

The exciting part? We have more information and more tools available to us than ever before.

🏋️‍♀️ Build and protect muscle
🥗 Nourish our bodies
😴 Prioritize sleep and recovery
💧 Stay hydrated
❤️ Pay attention to our metabolic and hormonal health
🧠 Keep learning, connecting and challenging ourselves

I became a personal trainer because I wanted to help people become healthier and stronger. As I’ve gotten older, that mission has evolved.

Now I’m fascinated by the question:

How do we not only increase our lifespan…but increase our HEALTHSPAN?

Because I don’t just want more birthdays.

I want more strong, healthy, active years. 💪❤️

But I’d love to hear from YOU…

When you hear the word LONGEVITY, what does it mean to you? ❤️

Is it living longer? Staying strong? Keeping your independence? Having the energy to travel? Being active with your kids or grandkids?

👇 Tell me in the comments: What does longevity look like for YOU?

✋✋Whose FEELING this ✋✋

✨ MY WOMEN’S HEALTH TIMELINE ✨

TEENS — THE ATHLETE 🏀⚽️🏃‍♀️
Growing up, movement was just part of who I was. I played multiple sports, stayed active and never really thought twice about exercise. I just loved to MOVE.

⬇️

EARLY 20s — THE CARDIO YEARS 🏃‍♀️
Off to college and trying to continue being “healthy.”
The gym became part of my routine — although back then, healthy mostly meant CARDIO, CARDIO and more CARDIO. 😂

⬇️

LATE 20s — BECOMING A MOM ❤️
Pregnancy. Babies. Sleepless nights. A changing body.
My focus shifted from taking care of myself to taking care of everyone else.

⬇️

EARLY 30s — FINDING ME AGAIN 💪
Trying to lose the baby weight and feel like myself again.
I became more interested in strength, nutrition and understanding what my body actually needed.

⬇️

MID/LATE 30s — FEELING STRONG 🔥
I felt GOOD.
Strong. Confident. Energized.
This was also the season when fitness became so much more than something I did — it became something I wanted to help others experience too.

⬇️

EARLY 40s — WAIT…WHAT’S HAPPENING? 🤔
Same woman.
Same healthy habits.
But my body started responding differently.

Hormones were changing. Recovery was different. Body composition was changing. What had worked for years wasn’t necessarily giving me the same results anymore.

⬇️

MID/LATE 40s — LEARNING MY BODY ALL OVER AGAIN ❤️

Instead of simply trying HARDER, I started asking:

What does my body need NOW?

More strength.
More protein.
Better recovery.
Better sleep.
Understanding hormones.
Learning about new health and longevity tools.
And most importantly — being willing to change my approach.

At 48, I realize something I wish more women were told earlier:

Women’s health is not a straight line.

Our bodies evolve through different seasons, and the tools that worked for us at 25 may not be the same tools we need at 45.

I don’t want to go backward.

I want to keep learning how to move FORWARD — stronger, healthier, more informed and more confident in this next chapter.

And if you’re somewhere in that 40+ stage wondering, “Why isn’t what I’ve always done working anymore?”…

You’re definitely not the only one asking that question. ❤️

Here’s to learning our bodies at EVERY stage — and feeling our best for the years ahead. 💪✨

Tell me about your time line….
What stage are you at?

126 Days. Same Me. Different Tools. ❤️

May 5 ➡️ Today
166.4 lbs ➡️ 144.3 lbs

But this post really isn’t about the 22.1 pounds.

For years, I’ve believed in the fundamentals:
💪 Strength training
🥗 Protein and balanced nutrition
💧 Hydration
😴 Sleep
❤️ Taking care of your body

And I STILL believe those are the foundation.

But as I moved through my 40s, I realized something…sometimes you can be doing so many of the “right things” and still feel like your body isn’t responding the way it used to.

So I started learning. Asking questions. Looking at the latest research. And most importantly, I became open to additional tools that could work alongside the healthy habits I already had in place.

126 days later, yes, my body has changed. But what matters even more to me is how I feel.

If you’re doing all the things and still feel like something is missing, maybe it’s time to learn what other tools are available.

I’m sharing my journey because I know I’m not the only woman who has felt this way.

Curious about what I changed? Drop a ❤️ or comment “CURIOUS” and I’ll share what I’ve learned.

Just dropped my two kids off at college… and wow, all the emotions. 🥹❤️

Proud. Excited. Sad. Grateful. And definitely wondering how we got here so fast.

But as I step into this new chapter of life, there’s something I keep thinking about…

I’m so thankful that no matter how busy life got, I continued to make my own health and wellbeing a priority.

Through raising kids, working, schedules, activities, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with being a mom, I kept showing up for myself too. 💪

Not perfectly. Not every single day. But consistently.

Because our kids grow up. Life changes. The seasons shift. And eventually, we find ourselves with a little more time to ask…

“What do I want this next chapter to look and feel like?”

For me, I want to be strong. Healthy. Confident. Energetic. And able to enjoy everything that’s still ahead.

So if you’ve spent years putting everyone else first, let this be your reminder:

It is NEVER too late to make your health a priority. ❤️

You don’t have to wait for the “right time.” Start where you are. Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

Here’s to our kids’ next chapter… and ours too. 🥂💪❤️
