#️⃣4️⃣0️⃣ - treatments since Nov ‘23, after my 2nd SCT. Plus, 1️⃣3️⃣ (stronger treatments, to kill the cancer cells) between Nov ‘22-March ‘23, before my first SCT on March 28, 2023💪🏻🩸🎗️♥️
Whew! I was told that I’ve had over 350 visits to NW for one thing or another😳 & Here.I.Am. - KICKING IT💪🏻🦵🏻🦶🏻😆

This cancer & treatment is not like other cancers & within MM, there are MANY different twists & turns. I CANNOT express enough how INCREDIBLY BLESSED I am that science 🧪🧫 🧬 is working for me & the treatments are keeping me in REMISSION!

I’m SURROUNDED by the most AMAZING team🥹 I REALLY mean it when I say that I could not get through this w/o the support of my people; friends, family & acquaintances who care enough to show support. THANK YOU🥰

Today’s buddy was Mishelle Rogers & we had THE BEST time catching up. Thanks girl, you’re the sweetest. The blueberry muffin was yummy too😋🫐 I was repping’ my dear friend, Amy, who’s Heavenly Bday is 8/31. Amy was the definition of strength in her fight against Ocular Melanoma & she beat the odds for SO LONG💪🏻💙 She is incredibly missed.

#️⃣3️⃣9️⃣ Everything continues to check out medically💪🏻🩸🎗️♥️Local onc couldn’t be happier. Today’s treatment started with a successful first stick🎉 & was cruising along until I blew a vein halfway through IVIG (immune booster). THAT was a first 😖 2nd stick hurt, 3rd = charm. Still got out of there in 5 hours. The 💉hiccup didn’t slow us down much👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Big thanks to “my sister from another Mr”, Becky, for coming out to be my buddy, bring me lunch & hang with me at home for a while. I love you girl😘
Thank you to those of you who continue to check in, send good vibes & are all around good ppl in all our lives. You never know just how much even the smallest act of kindness can positively impact someone🥰

#️⃣3️⃣8️⃣ Great treatment day! IV on the first stick & barely felt it. Chemo shot also went it great & just a few lil stingy moments. I’ve been feeling pretty good w/o being at work, but I’ve done a lot more physical work in the yard when it was cooler. My body’s not used to that & I’ve had quite a bit of fatigue. I just listen to my body & rest when I need to.
This is my 2nd straight 4th of July recovery weekend, so neighbors 🎆🎇 or TV for me.
Thanks to Karrie for being my buddy yesterday & bringing Bday Cake Oreos. Fitting to celebrate 🇺🇸2️⃣5️⃣0️⃣🎆
Thanks for all the support, Team Monty is the best!

#️⃣3️⃣7️⃣ - Boring is the theme we’re sticking with. Blood work is good, treatment went well & NOW it’s summer, so I’ll get LOT’S of rest, in & out of my to do list. It’s my first summer in 12 years that I’m not following a ⚾️or🥎schedule🥺but🎉 Thank you for ALL the continued love & support. No one beats Team Monty💪🏻🩸🎗️👊🏻♥️
BIG thanks to Aimee for being my buddy today. It was great to catch up. Thank you for the yummy new snacks & lunch. You’re the best!
You’ll 👀 that I’m sporting a shirt to support my fellow cancer fighter, Pat. Keep fighting hard buddy! You ARE amazing! Don’t give up HOPE, that’s Amy would say 🫵🏻💪🏻

#️⃣3️⃣6️⃣ - Everything went well today. I saw my local oncologist on Monday & he was happy with my bloodwork. The iron infusion from last time worked & I don’t need more at this time🎉 We looked over my meds list was able to trim it down due to how well things are going. Today was uneventful medically, good sticks & very little pain. Lori was my buddy & it was wonderful to catch up with her. Peep the scarf she made me. What a thoughtful gift. She has a really great talent.
I anticipate recovery should go better than last time. That iron really kicked my butt. The best part is that today was this school year’s last treatment👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you, Team Monty, for ALL the love & well wishes. I continue to be incredibly thankful for you & science.💗

April - #️⃣3️⃣5️⃣🩸🎗️💉 On Friday, Mom & I headed to ChiTown to see the Big Guy in MM, Dr Mehta. He’s happy with my myeloma labs but I’m a bit anemic & I shared that March’s recovery was more difficult than previous treatments❤️‍🩹 He ordered more tests & we discussed why this could be. We agreed that there are many factors, but the good news is that it’s NOT the myeloma! 🎉 I’m going to try some extra steroids to see if it helps with working Thursday & Tuesday🤞🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
Turns out my iron is low, so that got added to my treatment today. Unfortunately, it caused 🤢 but we caught it early & zofran helped me out. Hopefully, it’ll be a one time thing.
As always, THANK YOU from the bottom of my ♥️ for ALL the support, love, prayers, assistance, food, treats, time, messages, cards, inspiration & good stuff you all send my way. I LOVE TEAM MONTY💪♥️

Also, some friends have been asking about Team Monty gear so SOAS has reopened the store & added some items. It is not a fundraiser, just a way to show support, if you’d like. Here’s the link: https://supportteammonty.itemorder.com/
The store will be open til the end of 2026.
