Hello Friends,

I know you are anticipating the day you can come in and finally have your color touched up,
I look forward to that day as well,
as of now I am currently not booking any appointments until further notice.

Rest assured I have every client whose appointment had to be canceled on a list. To make things fair and run smoothly as possible, I will be reaching out to them first as soon as I receive notice salon can open.
Please keep in mind I will be working longer hours our first month back, and I will have an extra set of helping hands to get you all in as soon as possible.
I look forward to seeing you in my chair.

- Well as you all know by now,
Social distancing has been extended until the end of April.
Thank you for all the support i have received from all of you.

-I can not believe it has only been ten days since I took my last client at the salon.
It feels as though I have not seen my clients in months!

What an odd feeling, to wake up and not have anywhere to go for a week straight.
I am craving hair projects already.
I daydream about the next color approach I will take with my client/s.

But, In the meantime, I am taking this opportunity to work on a few new ideas for my clients when I return.

Look how white her hair still was after six weeks out from her last touch up.
but Man!
am I happy we incorporated her natural haircolor in our last appointment. We could not have picked a better time.
Yes we are going to be seeing a lot of regrowth in the next few weeks. But it’s OK,
we’re all just sitting at home, right? . So please 𝘿𝙊 𝙉𝙊𝙏 reach for that box color.
It probably won’t cover gray the same way. It could come out darker and leave you with banding or hot roots, which will only result in a color correction on our next appointment.
Take this time to put on a hair masque (and this time leave it in for 30 minutes so you really get a good result)
Give your hair a break from the hot tools.
If your color is starting to feel brassy,
I can drop off purple or blue shampoo.
In the meantime, Use the color root sprays & Part your hair in a zigzag.

- It is said that, you can never learn everything,
about anything you love.
I don’t showcase it enough, and I really should start posting more pictures on it. I love cutting hair with a straight razor. It let’s me create such a beautiful organic style for my client,
And by organic, I mean bringing out the clients texture. That way, you can let your hair air dry, or diffuse with a little salt or texture spray. Have you ever had a straight edge razor haircut?

Hairstylist know, to create an ashy tone on platinum hair, that has been stripped of all it’s tones,
Without it looking drab,
is not an easy task. From here on out, i will be incorporating her natural color with highlights...for now..until she wants something different 😜

Glowlights, I love adding delicate strands of lightness around the face. Then, created a diluted tone of honey in my gloss to catch the sunlight just in the right way.

I know I have talked about this in past post, but I will continue to bring it up every once in a while in case a new follower has missed it. If you are a natural darker level, or you have had previous hair color in your hair, It is imperative that when you go into your salon for a “cool” tone highlight, that you have the time to patiently sit for hours in order for your stylist to lift you light enough to then deposit a “cool/ashy tone”.
My clients know this because we talk about it in our consultation.
Patience is key.
I take a lot of pride in knowing that my highlights will still look good months later.

I have had the same clients for so long now, that at times I forget a new client can sometime worry when you mention a toner. They may think it is used to cover up a mistake, maybe from past experiences.
This is not always the case, yes it can neutralizes any unwanted tones, deepen a color level,
but in my chair,
It is mostly used to give my highlights a finished look.
My toners adds tremendous shine, and add hints of beautiful tones to highlights.
