I love being able to provide a great first experience. I love being able to provide a great experience to outweigh an unfortunate past experience. I love getting messages like this. I love feedback in general - great and constructive! Each year, I keep growing to make my services even better. Even as recently as this past September, I’ve been adding new things in / switching things out to make an even better brow experience. Doing my best to deliver, you guys! Our first fall in our home ❤️ Having a real fireplace was a non negotiable for both Dan & I when we started looking to a new place. We both grew up with one and now never want to be without one! So peaceful, so cozy. 🔥❤️‍🔥

I get to enjoy this solo for a few hours as Dan took our little guy on a park adventure just the two of them and then off to dinner with family this evening.

Thankful for this precious solo time as I was able to get a lot of work done, write up a quick work newsletter, do my accounting for the month, got to pay myself (yay!), take Maxine for a nice long walk 🍂 , work on social media, shower, do laundry and cook food that will be good for us the next two days (hello, pumpkin chickpea & chicken curry! I cannot wait!)

I feel as a mom, you have one solo hour or two and you can literally accomplish more in two hours than in two days haha! Can anyone relate?!

Anyways, this is just a random post. That’s it. I hope this post finds you happy, healthy and cozy ❤️

✨ SEPTEMBER RECAP ✨

Dan and I (and Augi!) celebrated 15 years of being married! Our Famiversary! We had balloons, cake and flowers at home. Simple, fun and perfect.

Augi turned FOUR! He is so fun. Very clever, careful and has a big imagination. Dinosaurs are top tier in our house!

We visited Peck and Bushel 🍎
We went to a stomping of grapes party 🍇 🍷 (yes, we stomped on grapes!)
Lots of time outside : zoo, parks, playgrounds
Sept book club was so fun! (BOOK: The Wedding People) we all pulled out our wedding dresses and wore them! 👰‍♀️
And one of our absolute fav fam traditions - fall weekend in Door County! 🍁

Several of you took advantage of my 15% off product sale. Trying out some new goodies and getting some repeat sales on some of your favorites. This was a great boost! September can always be a dicey month. Many of my clients’ work schedules change, some go back to school which in turn affects how the schedule is looking. Also, with change of routine/schedule, it brought some illness into some of your homes. Unfortunately, its that time of year!! Hoping for all of us, we can keep some of those nasty viruses at bay in the coming months.

Also, I had emailed you guys and posted in social media looking for any and all feedback. Thank you to all of you that took the time to respond. got some good ideas, got some amazing messages and also some constructive feedback. You all know how much I communicate and I very much value and appreciate when you do that same. It means a lot.

All in all it was a good month. Being slower allows me to get to some of the back burner list of things to do and I can also invest more of my time into other things. It was a good reset as I prepare for the upcoming BUSY holiday season.

Here in Wisconsin, we are a small but mighty little industry that bring beauty and a safe space to so many in a very special way. It’s hard work of outpouring, but has been so beneficial to those that walk through our doors and ourselves. I love how so many of us know each other or are aware of each other and we can just send a quick message, ask questions, be a soundboard and keep referring one another. I’m so glad I made this my career.

A couple things about me:

✨Small Update to My Service Pricing ✨

I wanted to thank you all for your continued support of my small business — it truly means so much to me and my family. 💛

As a solo esthetician and a small business owner, I always strive to provide you with the highest quality of care, product (which is ever changing) and experience at Hello Esthetics. And if you are not aware, there are lots (of costs!) to keep up with when it comes to owning your own business. In my email newsletter I sent out last Friday, I shared a small list of things Hello Esthetics has to keep up with. Feel free to read it there!

In order to keep up with the rising costs across the board, I’ll be making a small adjustment to my pricing starting Tuesday, September 2nd. The increase is minimal, and I’ve done my best to keep it reasonable and fair along with keeping my pricing competitive with my level of quality and experience. With the second slide posted, you will see the adjustments to my service pricing starting Tuesday, September 2nd. I appreciate your understanding and continued trust in me.

I’M BACK! From Iceland!
Dan and I got outta here for 6 days. We covered a lot of miles (Snæfellsnes Peninsula to Vik) in a short period of time - TOTALLY WORTH IT 😍 - especially when you got 17 hours of “sunlight” to work with up there. Pictures & videos don’t do this place justice. It was a good little boost and coming home with a fresh mindset.

Glad to be home and now to enjoy the rest of summer as a family 💛
