I posted this 2yrs ago, so I edited in the new starting rate.

I was asked how much do I charge for my therapy sessions🤔
I asked which service are you inquiring about, because I recently updated some of my rates but most start at 150$, because I know my worth and have the confidence in giving a great service that I would like to receive myself, So here’s what I said to this potential client.

Yezzir, you have to keep in mind I’m a traveling therapist (& I’m sensitive about my s**t!), so I account for what equipment I have to bring, which proper forms for you to fill out and discuss a plan of action before you get on the table, load & unload in my car, set up & take down, & gas to travel to my clients. I realize most people will always find a way to put money aside for what they really want, & others say I can’t afford it in actuality they can but don’t want waste money on something that they can’t hold on to, & it’s understandable until they sit in a Dr office complaining instead of taking care of their own health
Most importantly folk forget about the support of small (especially black owned) business🤦🏽‍♀️ so yeah 150$ is my starting rate
