It’s been awhile friends..

A few very important dates have occurred in the last few weeks for us! July 8th, I (Shelby, obvi) hit SEVEN YEARS here at the barbershop while Jerry hit 66 YEARS just a few days later.

Today is also Jerry’s Barbershop day, which was a wonderful discovery made after he found the plaque recognizing his dedication and hard work when he moved this last year 😆❤️

I’ll never get over the blessings that this shop has brought me. I know I make a sappy post full of ‘thank yous’ every year, but I really mean it year after year. Thank you for letting me be apart of the big moments, small moments and quiet moments. Thank you for telling me stories, and asking me about mine. Thank you for trusting me with your sweet babies, wild kids, and moody teens. Thank you for trusting me with your husband’s eyebrows too! I couldn’t do a different job if I tried. Nothing else will ever replace the love I feel for and from all of you. It means more than any sappy post can ever say, which is why it’s taken me a month to write 🥹💈

Heres to another seven, or seventy, if I ever want to beat Jerry 🫶🏻

One last update for a while friends - new cancellation policy starting May 1st!

Exceptions can and will be made for emergency personnel, emergency situations, and farm employees during planting and harvest, etc.

Avoid any fees by cancelling/rescheduling over 24 hours in advance! This can be done by texting/calling 765-564-1995, through the link on your reminder text, or through the Square Go app.

If you have received an appointment reminder of any kind in the last three days, your appointment time listed may be incorrect! The time zone setting in our system was set to be an hour behind temporarily but I believe the issue has been corrected. Any additional reminders moving forward should be accurate. Please reach out if you're unsure. So sorry for the inconvenience!

Shelby will be out of the shop Wednesday, 12/24 through Thursday, 1/1, for the holidays! All texts/call/dms will be returned by 1/2! Jerry will work his usual hours on Monday, 12/29.

2026 will mark my (Shelby, obviously) SEVENTH calendar year owning the barbershop, and it’s starting to really feel like it. I haven’t posted much this year, which means I also haven’t stopped and said “thank you” in a while either. I’m super grateful for all of the usual things, like the great stories you guys share with me every day, and the suckers I get to share with your precious, rowdy kids. I’m grateful for the people who always show up early, the people who always have a good excuse for being late, the tips (life and monetary), snacks, and the laughter.

But this year, most of all, I’m thankful for your PATIENCE. This has continued to be another busy year for me, in my personal life and business, and you guys have had so much patience. Thanks for patience when I can’t get you in as soon as you’d like. Thank you for your patience when I’m running just a few minutes behind. Thank you for your patience when I’m fielding phone calls from contractors fixing my stupid, wonderful house. Thank you for listening to me whine too. Just thank you. I say it often because I mean it. I’m the luckiest girl alive, and it’s all because you crazy people let a girl be your barber.

Veterans Day is a very important holiday to us at the barbershop! Each year, we try to find anything we can do to show our appreciation for the brave men and women who fought for our freedoms, and this year is no exception.

This year, we’ve made a donation to a very special organization in Indiana. HVAF of Indiana is the largest nonprofit provider for homeless and near homeless veterans and their families in the state.
