Today we gather to honor not just a friend, not just a brother, not just a coworker — but a truly good man. Someone whose presence made our days lighter and our burdens easier to carry. He was the kind of person you could lean on, the kind of person who lifted others without ever asking for anything in return.

What I’ll remember most is his faith. He walked with Christ in a quiet, steady way — not by preaching, but by living it. Through kindness, patience, and the way he always treated people with love and respect. His faith showed in his heart and in his actions.

Even though our hearts are heavy today, we know he is now at peace, in the presence of the Lord he trusted. That doesn’t erase the pain, but it gives us hope. It reminds us that this is not goodbye forever — just goodbye for now.

May we honor him by living with the same strength, compassion, and faith that he showed every day. And may God give comfort to all of us who loved him.
