This isn’t massage related, but something cool is happening in the sky tonight! It’s the Geminids meteor shower. Beginning around 9 or 10p and continuing through at least 2am, there should be up to **120** meteors per hour coming into our atmosphere. -turn off your phone and other lights and let your eyes adjust to the dark for about 30 minutes.
-go outside to a place that is relatively dark. (No moon tonight, so that will help.)
-Lay on your back and look up! Alternately, you can focus on the eastern sky, but they say if you’re outside, not buried in light polution and looking up at the sky, you should see them.

Apparently, this is a yearly occurrence around this time of year. Enjoy!

Breaking News:
Well, broken news? I’ve had an accident, and have a broken shoulder. I’ll be off work for 6-8 weeks.

Man, it’s been a while since I posted! Denton Bodywork is about to move in to its 6th year at our Carroll Blvd. Office, which is amazing to me. It’s been a great space, and I hope to stay around a while longer.

This summer will bring a little disturbance, unfortunately. The offices on the second floor of this building will made into apartments, so we’re in for a couple of months of construction. Not an exciting prospect, but out of my control. Hopefully it won’t be too bad, but I just wanted to let folks know this is happening from the beginning of June to the end of July. My hours may change if it is just too much noise. That would mean extended weekend hours (assuming they won’t work weekends) and possibly later evening hours during the week.

BTW, if you are the quiet type, and are looking for an apartment, I may know of a place… 😁

Massage is still not in the list of business allowed to reopen Friday, or on 5/18, which I’m actually okay with. My preference would be to wait until June 1 and see what is happening, infection wise. I love my clients, and want to keep you guys and myself safe through this. We just have to hold on a while longer. Trust me, I’m dying for a massage, but I’m not willing -to die- for one. I find it interesting that even after 18+ years of doing massage, I get a little nervous with new clients about doing a good job, meeting their needs and expectations, and them being pleased with their experience. It's so rewarding when they come out of the massage room with a big, relaxed smile on their face and thank you on their lips!

Well, it's official! I have a new space, and it's just about a mile from the old one. My new address is 919 S. Carroll Blvd., suite 101. If I'm quick, I'll do my first massages here by Thursday! So exciting!!

It's the end of an era! Last week that the owners of my sweet massage office notified all of the tenants to vacate by the end of August. Yikes! I'm looking for a new spot now.
