A Little About Me

I was born and raised in Denton and I LOVE this town!
My Esthetics career started in 2013, much to my surprise. I didn’t even know what an Esthetician was! I started out taking Cosmetology and 6 months in, I knew that hair was not meant for me, but fate would intervene.
Cosmetologists learn about a week's worth of esthetics. That week felt like a light shining down guiding me towards what I was meant to do. I attended and graduated from an Esthetician Program and haven’t looked back! 7 years later I own a spa and am loving every minute.
It’s a very emotionally rewarding profession. Making people look good also makes them feel good; which in turn, makes me feel good. It’s happiness for all! Here are a few reasons why I have such a passion for esthetics.

Every client has different concerns with their skin, so it’s definitely not “same old, same old”. I love treating all aspects from Acne to Rosacea, and Hyperpigmentation( brown spots) to Fine lines/Wrinkles. No two skins are alike, and that makes me like a detective. I’ve always wondered how skin care companies can say their line is “suitable for all skin types” when all skins have different needs.

With all of the advancements in skin care, there is much to be learned. I have an intense passion for learning. Between industry magazines, books, trade shows, webinars, blogs, classes and websites, the opportunities to learn are endless. I am truly a believer that in all professions, you must stay up to date with what’s going on in the industry to be at the top of your game. The skin care industry is fast moving with advances, so continuing education is a must.

I have struggled with my own skin for years, so I relate with my clients. When a new client comes in, we go over a pretty extensive consultation. Including: Diet, medicines, vitamins, ingredients, products, health history etc. This will tell us where we need to start some changes. I enjoy corrective facials such as acne and anti-aging, but I also enjoy when the client is relaxed and glowing.

On an end note, I hope you can tell how much passion and love I put into each and every facial. I am so lucky that I have found a career that I love so much. I feel that I'm doing my part to create positive change in the world—one face at a time. From sharing daily skin care tips and expert advice on Facebook, Instagram and email newsletters. I love to share my knowledge and educate on how to care for your skin at home. Being an esthetician isn’t only about giving facial treatments and selling skin care products, it’s about helping create change and therefore lives.
