This is what a 10 week regrowth look like after a gray transition appointment! You can see where the lightener has started turning gold from the toner fading, but everything still blends nicely 🙌🏻
Scroll to see the refresh! Laura did want som pieces a little lighter so we did about 12 foils, and then refreshed the toner and did a haircut!
Not bad at all! Just a toner appointment from here on until all chemically processed hair is grown out 👌

Let’s cover the gray this time… but still make it low maintenance!
Kat was sick of her natural gray, and wanted a dimensional blonde. So I said, ok but let’s keep it softer so you don’t have the harsh line when it grows out! So here’s a dimensional color while working WITH your gray!
Slide 1: the full after
Slide 2: close up after of the roots (see the blend)
Slide 3: the before
Teasylights, Demi lowlights, and a Demi root color for gray blending. This is a translucent color that tints your grays by making them look like highlights and keeping that dimension at the root!
Maintenance is a root touch (with the Demi!) every 8-10 weeks or so. Blonde can be brought up every 4-6 months, or whenever she pleases. This is a great alternative to going fully gray.
Book it as a gray “Blend It In” session!

This was just too good not to share immediately after her appointment. Gray doesn’t *always* happen on one appointment. This one took two sessions to get her light enough for white silver toner. Today, We did a partial foil- careful to only grab the pieces we lightened last time that made it to blonde. Then We were able to tone. I haven’t touched her roots- about 3 inches is her natural hair!
No line of demarcation. No awkward grow out. Just super blendy blends. A tone+treat every 6 weeks and then she’ll switch to only haircuts.

Entering her baddie era ✨
A full head of 22” I-tip extensions from is always a good idea! We added dimension with extensions only- no color needed 🙌🏻
Sometimes, the goal isn’t to go completely gray, but to blend it so it’s less maintenance than a root touch every 5 weeks.
{scroll for the before!}
For Sandra, that means some strategically placed highlights and lowlights. This allows her to have a gorgeous dimensional color that blends with her grays as it grows out, with no harsh line of demarcation…so she only has to come in every 8-10 weeks.
I don’t know about you, but that sounds a lot better than every 4-5 weeks with a harsh contrast of gray against a dark root color!

A “back to my roots” transition- this one is so so good!
This client can to me from Fort Worth for her gray hair transformation. She was going to go the route of just growing it out but after a year of that, she was ready to just go all the way!
I am honored she chose to trust me to be a part of her journey 💕

Forever obsessed with this industry and my craft.
A little while ago, I attended an advanced hair cutting class and purchased my 7th pair of shears. Yes, you saw that right- SEVENTH.
“But, Sarah… who needs that many pairs of scissors?” ✂️
Me. I do. Because what sets my haircuts apart from others’ is not *just* my techniques (although that’s a huge part of it), but my tools as well. Each shear has its own special job to do, and you’ll see me reach for multiple different shears during your haircut.
Next time, feel free to ask me what each one is for! I’ll totally geek out over them!
What does a gray transition look like in a few months? What’s the maintenance?
This video shows you what it may look like, and why toner appointments are so important to maintain your gray until all chemically processed hair is grown out! That silver toner isn’t permanent, it fades. So it’s best to come back every 6 weeks to re-tone and stop your hair from looking blonde, and blend everything back together again!
