Biiiiiig strrrrretchhhhh 🤸🏻♂️
Giving a nice tug at the heels is one of my favorite ways to bring a session to completion
It’s an unexpected full body stretch up the posterior chain
This week, a client said that they could feel the stretch all the way up around their head to their eyebrows
It’s so fun
Try it with a partner or friend sometime and see how it feels 😊

One of my besties is preggo and I got to give her first prenatal massage today!
Someone’s first prenatal massage is always so sweet
🧏🏼♀️I get to hear some unfiltered details about how it’s all going, with as much or as little detail as they’d like to share
🛌I show them the features of my pregnancy pillow that allows them to lie face down safely and comfortably
😌I explain how the top half of the table lifts up so they can lay at a safe, comfortable incline when it’s time to be face up
🧻I make sure they know we can take unlimited pauses for bathroom breaks
🙆🏼♀️I encourage them to move, wiggle, and adjust themselves as they need to throughout the session
Today was extra special to do it with one of my closest pals
To be clear I am NOT with child. I had in-n-out for lunch. So, almost the same thing 🤰🏼

I haven’t shared much in a while. It feels so weird to come on socials and post regular life things while everyday we are watching and reading about violent and heartbreaking things happening in our country and around the world. Hearing lies incited by our government continues to take a toll on our collective nervous system. It’s horrible and scary. I’m left dumbfounded and despondent a lot of the time
Other than choosing joy and whimsy every chance I get, an antidote to the helpless hopeless feelings is when I get messages like this
The amount of realness that people carry through my office doors everyday and how they let that realness be seen is equally grounding as it is uplifting
My job is not just about helping your body relax. It can be a healing experience that transforms the internal muck into a garden 🌱
During her session, I kept getting glimpses of eyes in a mirror in my mind. After the session, I gave her the suggestion for that evening that it could be good to set a timer for 5 minutes, look into her eyes in the mirror, and see what comes up 👀
Reminder that you are soooo very worthy of support…in times of strife, in times of bliss, and every time in between
I’m currently booking massage and craniosacral sessions for March and April, and I’m working on a list of helpers and healers I personally love and trust to share on my blog soon. Sending you a warm wholesome hug ☀️🩵🏔️

There’s so much to be upset about in the world right now
Literally it’s so batsh*t beyond words
Insanity on so many levels in so many categories
It’s painful
And yet, there is so much that is going right
So much that is working perfectly
Like how our hearts are moving nutrients around our bodies without even thinking about it
Like how our lymphatic system keeps us from walking around with cankles everyday
Like how you effortlessly care about others and others effortlessly care about you
So amidst all the noise, the nonsense, the uncertainty, and the sorrow…
Take a moment to appreciate what is going right
Not in a way that you focus ONLY on the positive, because that’s exhausting and removed from the realness of life
But in a way where you can see a broader view of reality, and that will lead you to a richer and more hopeful experience 🔆
Of course, awareness alone does not heal everything
And yet, it is a wonderful medicine that offers a soft place to land within yourself as you navigate waves of physical pain and emotional distress
Dr. James Jealous - an osteopathic physician - has said that 80% or more of all injuries and illnesses are caused by autonomic nervous system events (like overload, trauma, stress, fixation, collapse, disassociation), and I believe it
From something big like a car accident to something small like bumping my funny bone, I am 100% certain those things have happened as a reflection about something imbalanced in my life, or the underlying cause was something non-physical that I hadn’t yet digested fully at that time in life
Awareness is healing in the sense that you can metabolize your thoughts and feelings
When you become aware of right now…
🚶🏼♀️You can catch up with yourself
👀You can see more of what’s in front of you
🏡You can feel a little bit more at home in your body
Spending time with the birds and trees and flowers will always be my #1 awareness-supporting, stress-relieving, perspective-giving activity 🦆🌲🪻
