Joy Breeders is a unique online store founded by best friends Alison and Jill, who have shared an extraordinary journey filled with friendship, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. Their story began in 2011 when Alison started dating her now ex-husband, who had previously been romantically involved with Jill for a brief period. This introduction brought Alison and Jill together, forming an unbreakable bond that would shape their lives forever. While Jill's burning desire to start a business together was apparent, she discovered that Alison needed to independently arrive at such ideas. Nevertheless, their unwavering friendship and mutual support laid the foundation for their future entrepreneurial endeavors. A few years later, life presented them with new challenges as both Jill and Alison experienced divorces. In a lighthearted and humorous manner, they humorously proclaimed themselves "non-sexual life partners" (NSLPs), pledging to navigate the world side by side until Jill reached the impressive age of 110, with Alison not far behind at 100. In late 2022, when Jill underwent foot surgery on both feet simultaneously, Alison's unwavering support and care came to the forefront. Going above and beyond, Alison brought over a salve she had diligently crafted over a year for her boyfriend, who suffered from the skin condition ichthyosis. Determined to find a natural alternative to chemical-filled lotions, Alison meticulously researched and developed the first version of their signature "Moist" salve. Jill's immediate obsession with the salve served as a testament to its remarkable effectiveness. Encouraged by the enthusiastic feedback from friends and family to whom Alison had gifted the salve during Christmas, Alison recognized the potential of their creation. With every recipient urging them to share it with a wider audience, Alison and Jill embraced their entrepreneurial spirit and decided to launch Joy Breeders. The name Joy Breeders symbolizes the impact they have on others when they fearlessly share their authentic selves with the world.
