Our first formula took over two year to develop with many iterations along the way.. Seal Jay's signature tinted face balm.

But the why behind it still holds true..
To make skincare that anyone can use. Two primary concerns going in: Skincare that is not pretentious with whole/effective ingredients, and that fits in your pocket / is easy to use.
Of course along the way my desire to create a product that was gender neutral hit me hard. Not because I need to support any agenda or cultural movements, but because this hit close to home when my kids expressed concern over skincare and cosmetics being tailored this way or that gender-wise.
There you go... carefree, pocket friendly, made for any human balm!
Oh AND the focus in formulating the balm was for aging and problematic skin...so like...all skin.

POV: Gratitude can be challenging to hold close when all feels not awesome.
I took this class once and the professor preached gratitude and journaling. As part of the grade, we were to journal daily gratitude. At the end of a few weeks, I was a believer in two things:
Feedback loops, and Gratitude.
Am I always mindful? No. And sometimes, I just need to sit in the mud before I pull on my boots and move forward.

The beauty of gratitude is it really can be appreciation for pain, for what is possible, for lessons learned and scars earned.

Gratitude aside, our body and mind utilize feedback loops to communicate and release the correct body response. So angles to consider are my emotions habits? Does the lens I view from filter in a way that helps mw? What am I attracting? Who am I impacting?

I don't know what it does for you, but for me, these things make a huge difference in my productivity, people surrounding me, and how my world feels....

So science and magic. Anyway....

You smell that?! In ever incense burner everywhere is the woodsy aroma of Sandalwood oil. But here's the thing.....
Sandalwood oil is great for skin!
What does it do? Some think it helps with acne and blemishes, others an astringent, and of course, for the aroma.

So here is the rationale for why Seal Jay uses it in tinted face balm and masks:
1.Sandalwood oil is known for its grounding aromatics.

2.Sandalwood oil is made up of free alcohol isomers a-santalol, B-santalol which have anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, and cleansing benefits!

3. Sandalwood oil is deeply soothing and helps to balance sebum (skin oil) production in problematic skin...

4. Sandalwood oil assist in cell elasticity and supports skin tone balancing.

This is just a few..
