Howdy! I know things are tough right now. A lot of clients have reached out to me in the last couple weeks saying they’ve lost jobs, had major expenses and have been scraping by. I don’t want any of my clients to skip self care because of money!
Starting with my website change this week, I will be doing sliding scale pricing for any full service cuts and color for those who need it.
If you are in a position to pay original full price, I encourage you to do so. I can’t afford to do this for everyone, and I’d like to reserve it for those who need it most.
As always, reach out if you need anything or have questions!

I haven’t spoke on it much, because most of my detangling clients don’t want photos taken (totally understandable) but, I offer de-matting and detangle services for kiddos and adults! As of now, I am only able to work on mats and tangles that are up to 1 month old. Beyond that, might require at least a consultation, or might be referred to the medical guidance of their doctor.
Many hair types easily may and tangle in as little as a couple of days. Sometimes, mental health struggles and neurodivergent reasons can be a cause for avoiding showers (water is a sensory issue for many) and brushing (sensitive scalps, like myself).
I loathed having my hair brushed as a child, especially as an undiagnosed autistic child. I want to be the gentle-handed person that kiddos can trust to help.
This kiddo was a middle-schooler with ADHD, who has a very sensitive scalp. Their guardian was unable to help them maintain regular brushing and showering (admittedly the kiddo disliked doing either, they told me.) this took me about an hour and a half total, including the haircut. They told me at the end of the appointment “I thought this was going to hurt a lot, but you were really careful, and I didn’t feel a thing!”. This, in addition to their excitement at having a gender-affirming cut, was very rewarding.
It does help when the client wants shorter hair, that way, a lot of the exterior mats can be cut off.
Using a combination of conditioning treatments, patience, brushing and clarifying treatments, my success rate of removing major mats and tangles is around 80%.
If you have kiddos with this struggle, or know anyone looking for compassionate and gentle assistance, please refer them to my website for more information.
