From September 15 to October 15, we're honoring the rich history, culture, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino residents, staff, and neighbors here in the Highlands! 🌎💛

Did you know?
🔹 Hispanic Heritage Month starts mid-month (not the 1st!) because it marks the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries — Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua all celebrate independence on September 15th!
🔹 Mexico's Independence Day falls on September 16th, and Chile's on September 18th.
🔹 Denver's own Highlands neighborhood has deep Hispanic roots, historically known as part of the vibrant "Northside" community that shaped so much of our city's culture and cuisine.
🔹 Hispanic and Latino elders bring generations of tradition, music, faith, and family values that continue to enrich communities like ours every single day.

At The Argyle, we're proud to celebrate the stories, recipes, music, and memories our residents carry with them. This month, keep an eye out for special menu features, music, and stories shared around our community! 🥘🎶

🥧👑 BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: Chocolitina the The Pie Queen returned to The Argyle, and she brought her A-game (and her pies)! 👑🥧

Our residents' favorite Bingo hostess rolled back into town with a royal spread of homemade pies as prizes, and let's just say... the competition was FIERCE. 😂🎉

There was laughter, there were dabbers flying, and there was pie — glorious, delicious pie — for the lucky winners. Chocolitina brought her signature charm and kept everyone entertained from the very first "B-4" to the final blackout. 🎱

Bingo + Pie = an afternoon our residents won't stop talking about. 🍒🍫🍋

🦁 What a WILD day for our Argyle family! 🦁

Our residents recently packed up for a day trip to The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO — and what an adventure it was! 🚌✨

This incredible 1,214-acre sanctuary is one of the largest carnivore rescue facilities in the world, providing lifelong refuge to lions, tigers, bears, wolves, and other large carnivores rescued from illegal or abusive situations across the globe. Guests get to walk the mile-long elevated Mile Into the Wild walkway, towering 30+ feet above the animal habitats — giving our residents a bird's-eye view of the animals roaming freely below, without a single cage in sight! 🐻🐺

Our residents came home with stories, photos, and huge smiles — proof that adventure doesn't have to stop at any age. Getting our residents out into the world for new experiences like this is what Unreasonable Hospitality is all about. 💛
