New year, and I’ve been eating this key lime white chocolate cheesecake for breakfast everyday! I feel no shame whatsoever. It’s made with cashews, cocoa butter, limes, sugar, miso paste, and agar agar. My mom said calling it vegan was a turn-off, but It’s been a rich year for self discovery, and weirdly not eating dairy was a huge part of the puzzle! I discovered that I don’t feel pain like other people, and that I suffer from chronic migraines. Every time I felt that I couldn’t think, or wanted to lay down from an seemingly unwarranted tiredness I was in the midst of a migraine🤯 One of the triggers for me is(dun dun dunnn!) dairy products. So I’ve been enjoying flexing my vegan baking skills again!(Yes, This has me thinking that a cocoa butter lime soap would be heavenly💡🤔 💚🍨)
I started a business without knowing how hard it would be as a person with a differently functioning brain. Plus I hadn’t heard from the point of view of a business owner with chronic pain, illness or a learning disability or four so I’m trying to change that! Starting this week, I will be sharing more about the strange workings of my brain, and what it’s like to run a business. Plus Ill be dropping hints about my upcoming shop update!

I love celebrating the Yule season, because it means that the days no longer grow darker. In many traditions we burn logs, candles and turn on twinkling lights to remind ourselves of the miracle of light. I’ve spent this morning coloring Hanukkah pages with my nanny kids and sending packages to some of you. I’m feeling really grateful. Seasons shift, Tides turn, temperatures and moods change, so all of this heaviness we sometimes feel is bound to change too. I hope you all find some light on even the darkest of days 🕯

Two sets of soaps drying on the rack, they look like some type of quartz or stone to me. The joys of hot process soap making! They are new moon(colored with indigo root)and snow moon(colored with charcoal.) The moon soaps are all scented with essential oils and botanical infusions. New moon favoring the incense smell of the year long myrrh resin infusion with lavender and sage essential oils. Snow Moon is a nice contrast with its peppermint, ylang ylang scent.

For the entire first year of starting my business I had this idea of how I wanted my packaging to look. I really struggled with it. I wanted a pleasant shape, with a nice combination of textures and to express a vibe of my life long journey of spirituality and physical well-being.
