Hi Friends! Happy Saturday! Since, it’s been awhile and some of you are new, I thought it would be fun to introduce (or re-introduce) myself to you.

-I am a Colorado girl who just relocated to Amelia Island, FL. Traded the 🏔 for the 🌊. Any tips on humidity and bugs welcome.

We both love adventures, cooking, food, wine, learning, and laughing. He is someone you want on your team and I’m glad he’s on mine.💕

-I love doggies and kitties. 🐶 🐱

-I am terrified of needles. A hot mess when I need a blood draw or shot. 🙄

-I’m obsessed with cup ornaments. I collect them everywhere I go (when I can find them).

-I am equally obsessed with good coffee. ☕️

-My favorite cities are Paris, New York, and Siena (Italy). I miss traveling. Do you? ✈️

-I am the President of a hyper clean beauty company called . It never feels like work and the team of Brand Partners I get to work with daily inspire my heart to the core. ❤️

-I believe that Champagne isn’t just for celebrations but just because...life should be celebrated. From the small victories to the milestone moments; always something to appreciate and celebrate. 🥂

-I have naturally curly hair and today, I actually washed it and styled it! 🤣

This week I am teaching one of my favorite workshops called, “Your Best Year”. As I prepare and reflect on 2020, it is a clear mirror on how different this year has been and yet how quickly we can pivot (insert the Friends scene) in life. ➡️⬅️➡️⬅️

For many of us, the grand plans we created at the start of 2020, likely unfolded differently or perhaps not at all. Priorities shifted. Energy moved across the spectrum many wondering if it would all work out and for some; surrendering to a shift in the plan and the creation of a new one. It has a been a year that started with great enthusiasm and is ending on endurance. 💪🏼

Endurance to keep social distancing, wearing masks, and fighting virus fatigue.😷

Endurance to navigate the multiple roles we are playing in addition to the ones we already had.👩🏻‍🏫🧑🏾‍💻👩🏼‍✈️💇🏼‍♀️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Endurance to find new ways, to innovate, and to navigate life in a “new normal”. 🗺

As this year ends, many of us use the new year to reflect, to rejoice, to find gifts in the chaos of 2020, and yet find a light that is the ember of enthusiasm. 🔥

2021, doesn’t bring with it the end of the bumps of 2020 and nothing just evaporates at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. It does however, usher in the opportunity to dream, to hope, to plan, and to persist. 🎆🌅

2020 has shown us that we can do hard things. That grit, that perseverance, that endurance creates strength and through it all, as this year comes to an end; we find enthusiasm for a new beginning. 🌱

Choosing the path of entrepreneurship means choosing a path where you wear many hats, feel all the emotions, and consistently overcome new challenges (sometimes minute by minute). Like everything in life, it has it’s moments of glory and triumph in one moment and overcoming challenge in the next.

Is it easy to be an entrepreneur? 🚫Nope. You will work long hours. You will feel underprepared. You will wonder if this, “thing” is ever going to fly.

Do you make mistakes? ✅Yup. They are really only mistakes though if you don’t learn and grow from them.

Is it up and to the right all the time?📈 Nope. Great achievements, exceptional love, deepened friendships, parenting, and many other elements of life; mirror the same pattern.

Is it worth it? 💯 Yes. Yes. YES! You got this! Keep showing up everyday with heart and hustle. Keep driving your dream forward. Keep focused and stay open to learning moments. Change direction if you need to. Adapt. Overcome. Most of all- DON’T QUIT!

Dear Travel,
It’s been nearly nine months since we decided to “take a break”. For the most part, this break has been wonderful for me to find some rest and routine. After all we were spending a ridiculous amount of time together. Yet, some days I really miss you.

I miss adventures in new places, fun restaurants, all the people we met, and the memories. Maybe in 2021, we will reunite, maybe not.

Until then, I thought you’d laugh at this picture from that wonderful winter trip to Germany a few years ago.

No one starts out good at something. No one.

👩‍🎨 The artist doesn’t paint her masterpiece on the first try. She practices, she paints, she does it over and over, and gets better and better.

✍️ The author doesn’t pen his best story on the first draft. He writes a first draft, edits, rewrites, edits, gets feedback, edits.

👩🏻‍🎤 The successful rock band doesn’t get together on day one and produce a #1 gold album. They write music, play it, refine it, have some pieces that go no where, and after time find the hit.

👩‍💼 The entrepreneur doesn’t think of an idea and become an overnight success. They stay up late working through iterations, work on developing sales channels, refine operations, learn how to market, and constantly develop new strategies.

You only become good when you are open to allow yourself the opportunity to start, to grow, to practice, to learn, and to evolve. It’s not overnight. You will have setbacks. You will have triumphs. You will eventually be not just good but great! Keep going!!!
