Psoas major and minor are core muscles, accessed through the abdomen. The psoas minor is the thin muscle that lays on top of psoas major. These muscles develop trigger points that rarely, if ever get addressed. I have been seeing these muscles refer pain up into the base of the skull, down one or both arms, down the legs or have an effect on one or more of the other muscles shown in the illustration. If your having pain in any of these areas it could be trigger points in your psoas.
