Had a great time working with Neighborhood Compost for Earth Day and discovering what makes packaging compostable!

This week I was determined to make a lotion bar that worked with only two ingredients. Did you know that lotion only works if you put it on after bathing, washing, rinsing, or soaking? And drying off a bit of course. That’s when you lock all that moisture in and keep it from evaporating away.

At last weeks Denville Farmers' Market I got some sweet and tasty salad greens at Chickadee Creek Farm and A LOT of amazing bread at Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse (for the gluten-full people in my life). I don’t know how to keep the greens fresh but I’ve been spraying them with water and sticking them in my veggie drawer. This is salad 3 of 4 and it’s still looking good!

There’s nothing more magical than a winter holiday market! We’re in Hopatcong’s Modick Park until 8pm!
