Al's Quality Barber Shop

The Depew-Lancaster Moose Lodge is seeking support from local officials and the community to acquire $165,000 in necessary funding to restore the second-floor bowling alley, providing various nonprofit groups, organizations, and families in need a free place to have fun.

"It’s like they shut the lights off 20 years ago and walked out. There’s a room full of dusty bowling balls and shoes,” said Dee Miller, administrator at the Moose Lodge. “There’s two levels of a huge, beautiful, historic building in Lancaster, New York, that is not being utilized. It’s wasted space. What are we doing? Give it to the community."

Then a Member of Congress
came in for a haircut, and when he went to
pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from
you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Member of Congress
was very happy and left the shop.
The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen
Members of Congress lined up waiting for a free haircut.

The Depew baseball team has a lot of youth throughout its lineup, but that is not a bad thing.

The Wildcats return only three starters, senior catcher/shortstop Tyler Fryling, junior second baseman/catcher/pitcher Lucas Spruch and junior first base/third baseman/pitcher Owen Pyc. The rest of the lineup features freshmen, sophomore and juniors.
