✨ TWO WEEKS OF RETENTION ✨

Can we just appreciate how amazing this girl’s retention is after TWO weeks?! 😍👏🏼

While many of my clients are experiencing beautiful retention, I also want to remind everyone that we are officially in that time of year when seasonal changes and allergies can affect our lashes!

🍂 Fall shedding & allergy season are here!

Some of you may notice your lashes shedding a little more than usual, while others may not experience any changes at all. Every client’s natural lash cycle is different!

Something else worth mentioning is seasonal allergies. Pollen, dust, and other environmental allergens can cause watery, itchy, irritated eyes. This can lead to more rubbing and touching of your lashes, which can affect retention.
This year, especially allergies have been horrible. Some clients who have never experienced allergies or irritation, having lash extensions unfortunately this year has. So with that, I always recommend a removal and letting your lashes take a break until the allergy season has subsided.

And here’s something many people don’t realize: You can develop a sensitivity or allergy to lash adhesive even after wearing extensions for years without an issue!

This doesn’t mean seasonal allergies automatically cause an adhesive allergy, but allergy symptoms can make the eye area more sensitive and uncomfortable.

🤍 A little reminder from your lash artist:
Keep those lashes clean, avoid rubbing your eyes, and pay attention to any changes in your lash line or eye health.

Beautiful retention is always the goal, but healthy natural lashes will forever be my priority! 🫶🏼

✨ THE ARABIAN EFFECT ✨

Trying out a new lash style that I have a feeling is going to be all the rave for my minimal lash girlies! 🤍

Of course, I had to use one of my longtime, tried-and-true clients to experiment on!

The Arabian Effect is all about creating that beautiful, elongated, lifted look while keeping the lashes light, airy, and elegant.

This was my very first attempt, and while I still have so much practicing and perfecting to do, we were both really happy with how this set turned out!

She’s normally a full-volume, MAX-fluff kind of girl! So this was definitely a change for her and we will most likely be going back to the full volumes next fill.

I’m so appreciative of my clients who trust me enough to let me try new techniques and continue growing as an artist. Even after all these years, there’s always something new to learn, and that’s one of my favorite things about this industry. 🫶🏼

What are YY lashes? 🤍
YY lashes create a fuller, soft-volume look without needing a traditional volume fan. Their split shape gives the appearance of more density and texture while keeping the set lightweight.

I especially love them for clients with finer natural lashes who want a little more fullness but may struggle with retention when too much weight is placed on their natural lashes. When properly sized and applied, YYs can give that fuller look while still respecting what the natural lash can safely support.

They’re kind of that perfect little in-between of classic and volume — lightweight, textured, and still beautifully full.

Always learning, always perfecting my craft. 🤍

One of my goals has been learning how to properly handmake YY lashes — because if you know me, you know handmade has always been my thing. I specialize in handmade volume and will always prefer creating my fans by hand over reaching for premades.

There’s something about being able to completely customize a set from the ground up — the weight, placement, texture and overall look — specifically for the client in front of me.

And a little lash education in these photos 👀 You can actually see an outgrown extension being removed during her fill. As your natural lash grows, the extension grows out with it, which is why removing those outgrown lashes and replacing them is such an important part of a proper fill.

Still learning. Still refining. And now adding handmade YYs to my toolbox.
Before and after the fill process.
I’m also loving the brown 🤎

🍂 It’s lash shedding season! 🍂

Just like the seasons change, our natural lash cycles can too — and you may notice a little more shedding than usual this time of year. That doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong with your extensions!

This is also a great time to reset your lashes. If you’re someone who struggles with seasonal allergies, itchy or irritated eyes, or you’ve been wearing extensions consistently, consider a professional removal and a little lash break before starting with a fresh new set. 🤍

And look at those natural lashes after removal. 👏🏼 Healthy, full and exactly what we want to see.

A fresh start is always recommended over continuing to fill a set that needs a reset.

Lash health will ALWAYS matter. 🤍

Fresh removal, and look at those natural lashes. 👏🏼 Healthy, full and still thriving underneath her extensions.

Lash extensions shouldn’t mean sacrificing the health of your natural lashes. Proper application, isolation, weight, removal + aftercare all matter.

Healthy natural lashes = the foundation for beautiful extensions.

A little bridal moment for this beautiful human. 🤍

After a decade of loving her person, she finally got to put on that beautiful dress and walk down the aisle to him.

Getting to be a small part of mornings like this will never get old. From the bride to her beautiful bridesmaids, it was such a sweet morning getting everyone ready for such a special day.

Congratulations to this beautiful bride — a whole decade of love, and now forever. 🤍

From high school sweethearts to forever. 🤍

After 6 years together, these two finally got to say “I do.” She was truly one of the sweetest brides, and such a beautiful soul to spend the morning with. I loved getting to create this soft bridal glam for her and be a small part of such a special day.

Wishing these two a lifetime of love and happiness.

🍂🍁Fall shedding + allergy season is here! 🍁🍂

Seasonal shedding, allergies, watery or itchy eyes, inflammation of the lids and extra buildup around the lash line can make this time of year a little harder on our lashes.

Which makes it the perfect time to bring something NEW to The Facial Edit. 👀

✨ Introducing NuLIDS ✨
I’m so excited to be the first lash artist in Vermont to bring this system to my clients!

NuLIDS provides a deeper clean of the lids + lash line, helping remove debris, buildup and stubborn collarettes that a regular lash bath may not fully address. It’s especially great for clients who struggle with seasonal allergies, irritated or inflamed lids, dry-eye symptoms or persistent lash-line buildup.

Perfect before a fresh full set or as an add-on to your regular lash appointment. 🫧

I’m always looking for ways to improve not only your extensions, but the health and cleanliness of what’s underneath them.

🤍 Healthy natural lashes will ALWAYS be my first priority.

NuLIDS coming soon to The Facial Edit. 👀✨

Holiday season is right around the corner

With wedding season winding down, new services coming to The Facial Edit, and more days opening up at my Newport location, I wanted to give everyone a little scheduling update!

Moving forward, I’ll be limiting my schedule to 6–7 clients per day. This allows me to spread appointments out throughout the week, offer more days and times for my clients, and most importantly, continue giving each appointment the time and attention it deserves without burning myself out.

With the holidays approaching, pre-booking is highly recommended. I also have the option to set up a repeat schedule, which so many of my regulars have been taking advantage of. A lot of you already have your appointments scheduled through the first of the new year, making it easy to keep the days and times that work best for you.

Lots of exciting changes happening at The Facial Edit, and I’m looking forward to a schedule that allows me to continue growing while taking the best care of all of you. 🤍
