Today, we honor and remember Tori Golden, a member of the Last Responder community and a dedicated Medicolegal Death Professional whose life and service were taken far too soon following a tragic motor vehicle crash on Easter Sunday.

Tori served as a Medical Investigator with the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center in Kansas, where she answered one of the most difficult calls in public service - showing up for others on the worst days of their lives.

Her work required compassion, intelligence, professionalism, and strength, and by all accounts, she carried those qualities with grace.

Beyond the profession, Tori was deeply loved. She was known for her bright spirit, her love for animals, flowers, and gardening, and the special joy she found in her beloved cats. She was a wife, daughter, colleague, and friend whose presence clearly left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Today, as she is laid to rest, the Last Responder community stands with her family, friends, and professional family in grief and remembrance.

For the ones who carry the story, today we carry hers.

Rest easy, Tori. Your service mattered. Your life mattered. And you will not be forgotten.
