🎄 6 WEEKS UNTIL NOVEMBER
DON’T HAVE A STYLIST YET?
This one’s for you. 👋
If you’ve been searching for a new stylist, recently moved to the area, haven’t had your hair done in forever, or you’re just ready to find someone new…
Now is the time.
Once November hits, holiday pictures, Thanksgiving, Christmas parties, family gatherings and New Year’s plans all start fighting over the same appointment book. 😂
I’m currently accepting appointments at Malibu & Jae for:
✂️ Men’s grooming
🤎 Women’s cuts
🎨 Color services
✂️ Kids’ cuts
Come meet me BEFORE the holiday madness begins.
Holiday booking is officially open.
Some clients just don’t respect a stylists time.. she was outta the studio by 5:30 🤷♀️

🖤 A message from Malibu & Jae
I’ve stayed pretty quiet on my business page this week because I haven’t known what to say that felt adequate.
My salon may be in Derby, but Winfield is my home. It’s where I live, it’s my community, and what happened here has weighed incredibly heavily on my heart.
Rather than simply posting about how heartbroken or angry I am, I want to use my platform to point people toward something we can actually DO.
There are women, children and families in our communities who need help right now — before their stories ever become tragedies.
If you’ve been wondering how you can help Winfield, I encourage you to look toward the local organizations that are already doing that work every single day.
One of those organizations is Eagle Nest Inc. in Winfield, which works to strengthen families and provides resources and support to women and families in our community.
You can help by donating, volunteering, donating needed items, shopping their resale store, or simply sharing their resources so they reach someone who may need them.
I’m also going to reach out personally and find out what their current needs are and whether there are ways Malibu & Jae and my clients here in Derby can help our neighbors in Winfield.
Because community doesn’t stop at a city-limit sign.
If you know of other verified Winfield/Cowley County organizations serving children, survivors, women or families in crisis, please share them in the comments. I would love for this post to become a place where people who are asking “What can I do?” can actually find an answer.
We can’t change what has already happened.
But we can put our money, time, resources and voices toward helping the people who are still here.
Let’s show up before someone becomes a memorial, too. 🖤

Can’t believe it’s been almost two years since I started working towards opening my own studio, and I couldn’t of picked a better spot to call home— funny how time flies when you’re working AND living for yourself.

Asked for permission to film and post content.
Client: “Wait… you’re not gonna put this on the internet, right?”
Me: “Trust me, the after is gonna be worth it.”
He agreed… and here we are. 🤪😂✂️
