AI hair inspo photos are everywhere right now…and some of them are not only stunning, but starting to look REAL. 😅
While they can be great for inspiration, AI isn’t taking your actual hair into consideration…or sometimes even the law of physics. 😂 It doesn’t know your hair history, texture, density, porosity, growth pattern, maintenance routine, or how your hair will lift/process. 🫣 It’s not real.
That doesn’t mean not to bring in your inspo photos though. Please do. 🤍 They help us understand your vision and we can start the conversation about what’s achievable for your hair and what’s not. That’s our job as professionals. To guide you honestly, keep the integrity of your hair in mind, and create the best possible version of your goal.

Going to bed with wet hair can actually cause a lot more problems than people realize. 😭
Wet hair is at its most fragile state, which means sleeping on it can lead to breakage, frizz, tangling, and weakening your hair over time. It can also affect your scalp health. Trapped moisture at the roots can create the perfect environment for bacteria and yeast buildup. 🫣
Sleeping on wet hair can also make styling much more difficult. It creates uneven texture, stubborn bends, and cowlicks that makes your hair harder to work with.
You definitely don’t need to do a full blowout before bed, but try to dry your hair at least 80% of the way before laying your head down on a pillow. Focus mainly on drying the roots. Also, applying a leave-in conditioner or serum beforehand can also make a huge difference in protecting your hair while you sleep. 😴
