Family Planning is a topic that isn't covered with enough detail.

Regardless of who you are, if you are sexually active and not currently gestating, the possibility of unintentional or intentional pregnancy exists. The question to ask yourself is simple:

If you woke up tomorrow and discovered you or the person you are spending time with was pregnant, how would you feel about that?

It might be AMAZING! It might be surprised, but okay. It might be completely ruined. The answer to that question can help you decide what to do about protecting or promoting the possibility of pregnancy. This is a question that ANYone engaged in sexual activity should consider. Whether you are the proud owner of a uterus or not.

Did you feel like your care providers talked about your choices enough? Do you feel that you got all of the information or time to discuss this?

The place you pick to deliver at and the person you choose to hire to provide care for you during your pregnancy and your birth has a huge impact on your outcome. If something doesn't feel good, if your visits feel like a fight, if your heart rate beats faster when you sit in the office of your pregnancy provider?

You should ask yourself if you feel safe. You should ask yourself if you feel cared for. You should ask yourself if this person or this place is worth risking your outcome over. It is true that we do not always have a choice. But, when we do have a choice? When we can shape our birth experiences? It is our right to be with a care provider we trust, and that makes us feel safe and cared for.

They aren't in the way.

There is something so wonderful and amazing about the way in which home birth reminds us that we are in THEIR space. This is THEIR baby. We are one THEIR turf. And I love it when they get involved, and show us around their baby.

Home is where the heart is. And it's my favorite place to see Low Risk families welcome their newest treasures. I'm so excited to work with Moonstone Midwifery, welcoming new little ones, safely and into the loving arms of their families.

Hi there! I wanted to be transparent about prices.

Through Sacred Doulas, I also provide some Postpartum Doula/Nursing Services. I have a few different options for how to offer these, and wanted to make sure the community knew what my prices were like! Some of more flexibility than others, for the family that isn't quite sure what they need, or what kind of support they'll desire!

Not sure what you'll need? Reach out and ask! There are other Sacred Doula members that offer Postpartum Doula support too. Our approach is on education, support, and transitional information. We want to see your emotional needs met!
