I've added a new craft show - plus corrected the date for the Fall Makers Market!

It's that busy time of the year! A lot of craft sales are going on. If you have not yet done so, please go out to Facebook and ‘like’ Close Creek Creations as I do try to keep that updated with my schedule. Thanks!

October 25 – Grimes Annual Holiday Craft Sale – Prairie Creek Church, 801 West First Street (Highway 44), Grimes – 9:00 – 2:00 pm.

November 1 - Santa's North Pole Village Craft Fair in Ankeny - Prairie Trail Sports Complex, 2250 Southwest Vintage Parkway, Ankeny – 9 am-3 pm. This is a new location and there is a $7.00 admission charge.

November 14 and 15 - Beaverdale Holiday Boutique - Holy Trinity School, 2926 Beaver Avenue, Des Moines -5:30-8:30 pm on Friday and 9 am-2 pm on Saturday. There is a 5.00 admission.

November 23 – Fall Makers Market – Jester Park Nature Center, 12130 NW 128th Street, Granger. 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

December 5 and 6 - Van Meter Community Market 2025 - Veterans Reception enter, 910 Main Street, Van Meter. Friday, December 5, 5-8 pm. Saturday, December 6, 9 am - 12 pm.

It's time I get my schedule of Craft Shows out for everyone to see!

The first show is on Saturday, October 21 - Taste of Norway - 9 am - 3 pm. This is held in the Valley High School Cafeteria (west side of building), 3650 Woodland Avenue in West Des Moines. This is a fun show that I've done for several years. A wide variety of items for sale, including a lot of handmade Norwegian items and a terrific bakery featuring homemade Norwegian treats!

On October 28, from 9 am - 2 pm I will be at the Prairie Creek Church (formerly Grimes United Methodist) in Grimes, Iowa for their annual Holiday Bazaar. The address is 801 West First Street in Grimes. This is another very good sale!

Next up, on November 4, from 9 am - 4 pm is the 42nd Annual Santa's North Pole Village Craft Sale. This is a sale that is held in three different Ankeny Schools, with bus transportation (for $1.00) between all three schools. I will be in the Northview Middle School, 1302 North Ankeny Boulevard, in the South East Gym. There is a $7.00 admission for this sale, but you pay once and you can attend all three sales. It is BIG!

Beaverdale Holilday Boutique starts on Friday, November 10 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm and again on Saturday, November 11 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. This is at the Holy Trinity Church, 2926 Beaver Avenue in Des Moines. The whole school is pretty much filled with vendors and they will also be serving a lunch and have a terrific bake sale! There is usually a $5.00 fee for this show, but I am not able to find any information about that for this year.

The last event I have scheduled so far this year is the Jester Park Nature Center Makers Market. This will be held on November 19 from 11 am - 4 pm at the Jester Park Nature Center. This is another wonderful sale plus you have the extra benefit of touring the nature center which is a wonderful fun place for the whole family to get better connected with nature!

Hello everyone! Wanted to let you know that I've been making some soap! What I have on hand right now is: Lemongrass, Sage, Cappuccino/Hazelnut, Cinnamon Clove, Patchouli and Lavender/Spearmint. Price is still $5.00 a bar. If are interested in having any for yourself, or stocking stuffers, please PM me (Susie Spry) and we can make arrangements to get it in your hands! Hello everyone. I want to bring you up-to-date on some craft show activities. I just received word that the Ankeny Santa's North Pole Village Craft sale is cancelled for this year. Also, the Central Presbyterian sale will not be held that first weekend of December. I did sign up for the Holy Trinity sale, November 13 and 14, and as far as I know they are still planning on having that sale. So, I will not be making as much soap this year as I have in the past. Please don't hesitate to call or email (pm me for that information if you don't already have it) as there will be soap available! Thanks for your understanding - and we are all hoping for a better year next year!
