Valerie Domain better known by her family as Tootsie. She is my friend Rosina’s sister. When she was in last we were trying to figure out just how many years she has been coming in. It was before our salon had a computer so you know it has been a stretch of time! I have been lucky enough to go through many style changes with Val from short to long. It’s not just about the hairstyle though, along the way a friendship happens. It’s a professional friendship. For the most part I only see her at the salon and after 35 years I think we know one another pretty well. Val is a realtor, so I called my friend when it was time to sell my mother’s condo. She made the process of selling go smoothly and it was just before the COVID shutdown. It happened with Vals’s help and experience. Thank you Val, you do so many good things for many people!❤️

My client came in wanting a change, but she was a little too nervous about going too far from what she was used to, so I knew I needed to educate her on what the process would look like!
She knew exactly what she wanted to accomplish, but wasn’t sure it would actually look good on her.
We talked through what she liked, what she didn’t, and what would actually work for her hair.
We went for a teasylight technique and then a toner for some soft caramel highlights and she wanted the front of her hair to sweep back from her face. April’s h as it is very wavy and I #
was carful on my foil pattern especially around face 🤎
And now she looks like her BEST version ever 😍
Sometimes you don’t need to completely change yourself…
You just need someone (ME) to help you figure out what change feels right for you!
Because yes, trying something new with your hair can be intimidating…but SO worth it when it’s done right.

My friend Joe Esposito has been coming in to see me for over 35 years! He is Italian and so am I, so we talk… about our family, mostly our mothers and our dogs. Joe loves sweets. He really is a connoisseur of birthday cakes, and donuts and sweet rolls. On my 50th birthday he brought in this enormous chocolate and banana filled layer cake! We served it to our guests that day too! I believe Joe is now 100 years young. He still loves his sweets🎂🍩🍰

Instead of making Linda’s face frame light, I decided to go darker. My inspiration was Jayne Edward’s hair. I liked this little tweak a lot!

I known Kim Fiester for 45 years! She was a new mom and I was just starting my career. Kim had long hair back then and would always come in for trims. Now I see her much more often. She is retired now and loves to travel. Kim also owns a horse and rides several times a week. When I bought Headquarters Kim and her husband Jim were one of the first of my clients to send flowers congratulating me. The memories are so many! Thank you for you friendship Kim, you are not replaceable!❤️

Hey it’s Mike Lynn! Our friend story goes way back to the beginning in 1983. Mike worked at Apple Records just two doors west from Headquarters. We used to have pizza every Friday night for two reasons. Mike really likes pizza and the other was if the pizza restaurant didn’t deliver within a certain time the customer would get it for free! We got many pizza’s for free back then. Mike would call and say it’s here and I would go over in between my appointments. That went on for a few years and then his life changed and he switched jobs, got married and had a family. We lost touch for many years. One day about 20 years ago, I saw him in my neighborhood delivering the mail! I stopped my car and had a chat with him. Since then he’s been coming in for haircuts and sometimes we go out for pizza! Yay for us and our friendship and of course pizza! 🍕
Did I forget to mention it? 😜
Because if your hair looks this good, we have to show it off!

My doctor my friend, Stephanie Bartels. Forty years ago a very pregnant Stephanie came in to have her hair styled. It was a hot summer day and I will never forget it because I thought she might go into labor because she was so overheated. We talked and laughed and made a long lasting connection. She became my doctor and I am her stylist. She has since retired and I wish she could still be my doctor.❤️ Thank you for all your wisdom Stephanie.❤️
