We are excited to begin our new normal day at the salon and look forward to seeing all of you! This is our plan to move forward safely and hope this makes you comfortable enjoying your salon experience.
Also, we have been working on rescheduling/scheduling, thank you for your patience and don’t hesitate to reach out!
Guest Safety at Nicole’s Hair and Body
Nicole’s Hair and Body plans to re-open for services on Monday, June 1. We are currently in the process of rescheduling missed appointments since we have been closed as well as answering new appointment requests. We are reaching out to clients in order of missed appointments, however, feel free to contact us to reschedule your service. Upon reopening, we will have somewhat limited service times to accommodate systemic sanitation requirements, but we will be working hard to accommodate our clients in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience and patronage during this process.
In order to ensure the safety of our staff and clients, we will be implementing new safety protocol in compliance with all federal and state mandates and guidelines required by OSHA, CDC, and MDH as directed by the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology. Here is what you can expect before and during your salon experience:
Before you come to the salon:
Service reservation is required. At this time, we are not able to accommodate walk-in service guests. Please call ahead to book your appointment.
Please do not come to the salon for your appointment if you have experienced any of the following health issues within the last 14 days:
-If you have been ill within the last 14 days including fever, cough, or any Covid-19 symptoms.
-If you have been exposed to Covid-19 within the last 14 days.
-If you have been diagnosed with Covid-19, do not come to the salon until 14 days after testing negative for Covid-19.
Protocol for guests upon arrival:
We ask that you arrive at your scheduled appointment time and no sooner. When you arrive for your appointment, please be advised the salon door will be locked and our waiting area will remain closed. You may choose to either wait outside the salon or in your vehicle until you are notified by phone call that we are ready to serve you. If you choose to wait outside the salon, please be respectful of other guests coming and going by practicing social distancing and wearing a mask.
You’ll be greeted by your stylist in a way that avoids contact. While we would love nothing more to give you a hug or a handshake, we will be refraining from additional touch. We will greet you to share safety protocols and we require the following from each client:
-Sign a service agreement acknowledging that you do not have symptoms as outlined above
-Take your temperature
-Sanitize your hands before beginning each service
-Require masks worn throughout guest experience
During your service:
Please wear a face mask. We are requiring all guests and stylists to wear a mask at all times during your salon experience. Please wear a face mask that loops behind the ears rather than ties behind the head.
Social distancing. We will be staffing the salon at 25% to fire code capacity in order to accommodate proper social distancing.
Please visit solo. We welcome clients who are receiving services and will not be able to allow additional patrons such as children, friends, or partners. If a child is unable to receive their service without accompaniment, we cannot provide salon services at this time.
Reduction in service offerings. For the time being, we will be eliminating blowout services to minimize the air flow as much as possible while finishing our haircut and color guests. We will be utilizing natural drying techniques and hot tools to finish the hair as much as possible until further notice. We will also be temporarily eliminating consultations, bang and neck trims, lip, chin, and cheek waxing until further notice.
Beverage offering suspended. Our complimentary beverage offering has been temporarily suspended.
What will remain the same?
Checks, cash, credit card, and Venmo payments are all welcome.

We have been waiting to hear the news... salons can open June 1!
Keep in mind things will look a little different but all in good measure to keep stylists and clients safe.
We will be getting in touch to schedule and do the best we can to get people scheduled in as timely manner as possible. Feel free to reach out- we sure miss you all- See you soon!

Well my friends... as long as things can remain steady, it looks like we can reopen June 1!
Next week we will be receiving guidance from the state. I have been looking through other states protocols and it varies as to what services are allowed, cleaning protocol, masks, gloves, temperature checking, guests staying in car or sidewalk until we are sanitized and other guest leaves, minimal shampooing and blowouts, etc. It may look a little different for awhile.
Please be patient as we get our schedules sorted out to work with our new guidelines to keep everyone safe.
Reach out and we’ll be sure to get you scheduled! We have heard from many of you and we plan to work our schedules out according to our first missed appointments... if you have something scheduled and if we need to change it we will let you know!

Thank you to all who have been supporting us with your kind words, humor, encouragement and all around caring messages! As you may know we are being asked to remain closed for services until May 18th...possibly longer? We know there are many unknowns ahead with these unprecedented times. That being said we will update you as we know and will be trying to accommodate clients that first missed appointments in March, who are so patiently waiting 😜 when we are able to open. Also know we will all be coming up with plans to open safely over these next few weeks to provide proper social distancing, sanitation and safety for clients and stylists.
What we CAN do is provide you with curbside pickup (meaning you stay in your car and we bring out to you w/mask and gloves) delivery to your doorstep or via mail order.
So reach out to us for some quality hair care products, makeup and skincare from Livingproof, Keune, Pureology, Bare Minerals, Kevin Murphy, Style Edit and Eufora root concealers. We are so grateful for the support to our local small business.
Above all, we hope you are all well, staying safe and finding beauty in everyday... even if it’s not easy. We love you and will be preparing to see all your roots and longer than ever hair.

Hope you are all well! We will not be opening until beginning of May. More details to follow. Please reach out with any questions/thoughts via messenger or personally. After April 10th we will ship product or offer curbside pickup. Comment below if you’d like a root concealer!! 😜 we miss you all!

At this time we plan to remain open with everyone’s health as our main concern.
We are taking precautions to keep space and sanitation at our forefront to protect ourselves, clients and our community.
We ask if you have traveled in the last 14 days to please reschedule your appointment to a date beyond 14 days of your return.
If you have compromised health condition, we ask you to please reschedule to a later time.
In respect to you and others, we ask you to please reschedule if you have a fever, cough, headache and other symptoms of illness.
Lastly, if you don’t feel comfortable coming in for your scheduled appointment please reschedule.
We will be doing our best to keep a limited amount of people coming into the salon at once. We will not be serving refreshments and encourage all to wash hands upon entering the salon. If you have any product you are in need of please ask. We can fulfill your needs with little human contact!
We hope for the best in this situation and want to put our best effort forward to combat the spread of covid-19 and will be operating day to day following the CDC and MN public health guidelines until/if greater measures need to be taken.
