Double cleansing is rooted in Korean skincare philosophy.
The first step, oil cleansing, binds to things like makeup, sunscreen, and pollution particles from our air and lifts them from our follicles.
Once that is done, using a water based cleanser can actually get in and do what it’s meant to do… remove sweat and water based crud (impurities).
Other heavily foaming cleansers tend to strip away everything, leaving your skin barrier less healthy. If your face feels tight after you cleanse, it means it’s been overly stripped down.
Double cleansing makes sense because each step essentially does half the work but WAY more gently and without harming the barrier… which (as you know by now 😉) is key to Korean philosophy
• oil dissolves oil - water based cleansers can’t break down make up and oil
• actually takes off sunscreen - sunscreen residue clogs pores… we want to take it off every night!
• maintains the skin’s natural barrier leaving the skin happy
• for every skin type - yes, even oily or acne prone skin!

Who needs to stock up on some high quality pimple patches??
These hydrocolloid patches are amazing! So much better for the skin than picking at a blemish!
They cover the pimple and pull out the excess oil and bacteria without causing trauma to the skin.
