Being your best requires you to know what your best actually looks like. And that’s something I’ve been trying to figure out for a long time. I grew up fighting. I felt like I had to fight. I was an only son in a community with a lot of people around me. And a lot of my battles were connected to how I look. I fought with Black kids. I fought with white kids. I fought with Latino kids… But life has taught me something different. Real strength is being able to control yourself.

I want to help whoever I can. And I want help from whoever is willing to help. My first focus is Black people because that’s the community I come from, and I believe we have some very specific challenges that deserve our attention. But make no mistake… I see myself as a citizen of the world. When it’s all said and done, I see us as one. Be

I’m Be-coming better for me. And because I’m Be-coming better for Me… I believe I can Be-come better for other people. Be

I’ve spent a lot of My life trying to prove Myself to other people. Trying to prove I was strong. Trying to prove I was worthy. Trying to prove I could Be trusted. Trying to prove I could make something of Myself. And somewhere along the way, I discovered something that changed the way I look at life: I don’t have to Be better than You. I have to Be the Best version of Me. And that’s a battle I can fight every single day. Be

Striving for excellence is a mission that requires a lot of alone time.
I spend a lot of time reflecting on my progress, my setbacks, my decisions, and my experiences. And I’ve come to understand that both my victories and my setbacks are blessings—because if I’m willing to learn from them, I can turn those experiences into wisdom.
I’m not trying to be better than anyone else.
I’m trying to be better than the man I was yesterday.
This journey is about becoming more disciplined, more conscious, more accountable, and ultimately, the best version of myself.
