Family and Friends, First I would like to start by saying THANK YOU. Thank you for your condolences, thank you for your prayers, thank you for your concern, just thank you for everything. Everyone that knew Melissa knows just how amazing and special she was. And for those that didn't, I wish you got a chance to meet her. Melissa was very specific with her wishes and she didn't want a funeral (yes, she's still bossing us around even now). She said and I quote.. "I don't want yall standing over me crying and being sad"! "THROW ME A PARTY"! Eat, dance and turn up for her!!! So we will be doing just that!! Yall know she loved throwing and going to a good ole shindig. Due to this being the holiday season, Her Memorial Celebration of Life will be Saturday January 4th. Please save the date as additional details will follow. As of now, all I ask is that you continue to pray for my family, especially her children & parents. We know so many people beyond our family are affected by this untimely loss and we're praying for you as well. We also know, that brings up the question "what happened". However, I ask that you move forward with wisdom and be mindful when/if you reach out (especially to her children). Most importantly, If you don't know what to do or what to say, the answer is always Pray. Have a blessed day and hope to see you on January 4th!
